Yes. I usually pray out loud because it helps me to focus, but one time I remember reading a book where the author said she used to pray out loud (like me, and for the same reason) but then through an accident she lost her voice. She found that whenever she tried to pray after that her mind wandered. So she started writing her prayers to God instead. Of course, God knows all, so He can "hear" a prayer whether its spoken, thought, written, or signed (sign language).
The upside of this women's prayer letters, was that she could look back at them, and see how God had answered so many of her prayers.

Some people do better expressing themselves to another if they have written it down in a letter form. Since it is difficult to send your letter to God, you may just want to read it out loud to Him so you can be sure that you delivered it.
Whatever way that a person lets God know about themselves in their relationship to God IS PLEASING TO HIM.

Nifty idea, I have never thought of that but it sounds like a good idea. Like a written prayer.. Write the letter and save it. You never know, it might inspire you or someone else some day.

Of course you can. There are 150 of them in the Bible written by king David and others that speak to God very honestly in earthy language about the human experience and the emotions of the heart.

You already know that God isn't physical, he's Spirit, and doesn't have a physical address, dear one. But you can certainly keep a journal and speak to Him that way, as well as talk to Him in prayer.
God bless!

Yes you can if you want. Its sometimes therapeutic to write things down. If its requests write them down and then burn them with some offerings of incense and prayers.
