I don't think so. I don't believe in god, but when I did, I always thought that god had made me imperfect for a reason. I felt I was supposed to strive to be a good person, but accept that I will make mistakes because mistakes=lessons learned and shape you as a whole. I still believe all of that just not the god part. =)

Absolutely the laws of gravity are perfect every time. The laws of the human mind are set for failure. When there are so many laws in creation, perfection does get blurred in the rush. The most perfect section is in religion . It is designed to torment, lead and cause a lot of rethinking. Only man can be involved because it is all built on beliefs.

He IS perfect.

He knows that we are NOT perfect.

Ps 103:13-14
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
(from New International Version)

Heb 4:15-16
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
(from New International Version)

2 Cor 12:9-10
9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
(from New International Version)

I think people have dumb standards for perfection. We are all a work in progress and we are all connected, by God, everything is already perfect in it's imperfection.

Yeah, some day, he can't possibly expect us to be perfect now, he knows us too well. It's other people who expect us to be perfect, I guess to let themselves think that that is even possible.

Look in the mirror, look around you. God is a humorist. He could have made us perfect, but instead he made us laughable.
It could have been worse.

Yes. That one misplaced comma has you doomed for all eternity. Never mind the superfluity of periods.

No, He just wants you to be a mature Christian, while you're in the flesh.
