It's just not being able to understand.
I'm not Mormon and I just can't understand how Mormons justify some of their beliefs. But from what I do know from the few I've met, there's are some good philosophies in the religion. But that doesn't mean I don't like Mormons, I just can't understand some things about the religion.
So no, I wouldn't give you a thumbs down for being Mormon.

I don't think most people knew you were a morman before you said something.
Personally, I don't really care what formal demonation you belong to because I think 98% of organized religons are, well not evil exactly, but sinful in their very nature.
thumbs down are a sign of a good post, so don't let it get you down.
I get thumbs down all the time because of my spiritual beliefs, and I'm sure its just because my ideas scare many people or they simply disagree.

No....the basic principles behind every religion are basically the same. The only person I would vote down are fundamentalist that only believe in there point of view.

No I would not.
I give thumbs down for rude and offensive answers and for advice that is contrary to the Bible.
I also give thumbs down to answers which are just plain wrong.
However I rarely actually sit here and read answer and give out either thumbs up or thumbs down.
