Regarding laser vision correction?

Anyone had any experience with the places that charge less for correction procedures in the Portland Or Area. The place I went to for a consultation, wanted over 3 grand.

I know people are going to say "well you cant put a price on your eyes" which is a true statement but why pay more if you dont have to.
