Revelation 20:1-3 - And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut [it] and sealed [it] over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while.
Notice: The angel of the abyss throws Satan into the abyss.
(A·bad′don) [from Heb., meaning “Destruction”]
(A·pol′lyon) [Destroyer].
The Interpreter’s Bible says: “Abaddon, however, is an angel not of Satan but of God, performing his work of destruction at God’s bidding.”
Luke 8:30, 31 - Jesus asked him: “What is your name?” He said: “Legion,” because many demons had entered into him. And they kept entreating him not to order them to go away into the abyss.
Luke 4:31 - 34 “Ah! What have we to do with you, Jesus you Naz·a·rene′? Did you come to destroy us? I know exactly who you are, the Holy One of God.”
Hebrews 2:14 - Therefore, since the “young children” are sharers of blood and flesh, he also similarly partook of the same things, that through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil;

Abaddon means "destroyer" and is a title.
Revelation 9:11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.
The final place were Satan will find no rest is found in this passage.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
