Well did you know most people pass gas 14 to 23 times a day it's normal. Although rare, too much gas may be the result of severe carbohydrate malabsorption or overactive bacteria in the colon. Fruit and Veg does help but doctors only make educated guesses so have you been checked for IBS? You could even be lactose intolerant. Get checked for these.

Hope this helps a little

DO NOT DO THE GAS PILLS, UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY HURTING FROM THE GAS IN YOUR STOMACH. (better is to drink about 1/3 cup of water with a tea spoon on baking soda mixed in) When you depend on the gastric neutralizer it encourages you stomach to make less gastric acids. And you food needs those acids to digest and break down the foods.

Many food just naturally cause gas...avoid those for a while, like cabbage, broccoli, beans (but these are very good for you so put them back in your diet later).

When you mix types of food it creates gas because the enzymes that digest, meats, fruits and veggies are all different. So for a while, try not to mix your food excessively. Wait an hour or two between eating a piece of fruit and eating veggies. etc.

You might also try eating some good quality yogurt every day for a week and see if you only need some good bacteria in your gut. Also, read the label, no yogurt from cows milk.

I'm going to attach what I consider the perfect diet. Use it as a guide only. because no one could follow it.

· It is important to maintain a good diet so you don't compromise your health. Some diet damage cannot be fixed.
·
· When you deprive your brain,(your brain craves sugar) the brain will take other body cells to convert to the elements that it needs. And the cells it takes are BRAIN cells. OOPS. I don't want to lose brain cells to have thin legs. But I would like to have both.

DECIDE TO MAKE A LIFE CHANGE TO A HEALTHY LIFE STYLE.

1) fruits and veggies, all you want, organic, raw, vine-ripe if possible. Steamed is OK, sautéed is OK even canned or frozen is OK, but lots of them.
2) limited or no meat.
3) nothing fried
4) no FAST FOOD- is junk, no nutrition, empty calories
5) NO PROCESSED FOOD. if you can't pronounce it don't eat it.
6) nothing white, salt, sugar, mayo, milk, (or at least in moderation.
7) NO DAIRY-dairy is great for baby cows, your body does not even digest it properly. check out www.notmilk.com
8) EXERCISE- and be sure to refresh your body with water and fresh fruit
9) NO PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS. Muscle is made from water, replace the water. You get enough protein from the food you eat, You get more protein from spinach than the supplements you take and your body does not get toxic on food protein the way it will with supplements. Supplements can really tax you liver.
10) Good supplement would be Omega 3, and Juice Plus+

11) NO CARBONATED DRINKS, or at least limited. They actually dissolve the calcium in your bones. carbonated drinks can cause a lot of gas.
12) Calories in calories out.

AND DON'T GO NUTS, MODERATION.

Okay, you need to eat a lot more things with fibre, and the best product for this will be something that contains 'psylium husks' like metamucil. Or you can just buy 'psylium husks' at a health food shop. They absorb water and make your stools softer, but they don't give you diarrhoea. They just turn into a jelly like substance (you stir them into water and they turn into a jelly, which you either eat or drink, depending on how long you wait for it to set. Go with drink, it's easier) You can add psylium husks, which are just the outside husk of a particular grain with the grain removed) to stews and soups as a thickener, too. It's pretty harmless stuff.

Don't use laxatives, they will make it worse. You can try de-gas, which makes the bubbles of gas in your digestive tract form into little bubbles and be expelled more easily.

Drink lots of water, supposed to have about 2litres a day.
Put a bit of lemon or lime juice in it, if you don't like the taste.
You might have IBS (irritable bowel sindrome), from spicy food, or something like that. You could try Metamucel?
I think thats the name. Hope you feel better soon.

Try drinking hot tea, ginger or peppermint as hot as you can tolerate. it may hurt and you may pass more gas but it will go away almost overnight. Continue drinking tea for aabout a week and try to eat regularly, you may just have gas.

Face it. some people just do it and run all kinds of people out of the room. One might have to live with it. (Some here said change your diet and they are most likely correct) If you have the urge to "Let Go" and there are people around just hold it in until you can be alone. (Unless of course you want to see them suffer...LOL!!) Just change your diet and good luck.

Perhaps a search for flatulence + causes + "natural remedies" might be of interest.
