Mine does the same thing. The moister in the air becoming frozen, strips most of the moisture out of the air. Couple that with the heating systems that dry our skin out, and we start to notice our skin isn't as soft and moisturized as it was a month or two ago. In the winter time, use a moisturizer, and if you already use one daily on your face, try a slightly thicker one, like back to basics. if you don't have a regular lotion routine (when you get out of the shower/bath) start one, but if you do, just switch to something thicker like body butter with Shea butter from bath and body works. they smell great. these products that may have been too much moister (greasy, eww) in the summer months, will now be sucked up by thirsty skin.

The winter air is just bone cut dry. There's not moisture at all. Get some good moisturizing lotions and apply daily. Also take a bath and put some baby oil or I even put Biosilk's Silk Therapy in my bath. you definately have to moisturize your skin this time of year.

the dew points in the air are low ; this makes for less moisture in the air.
