How can you trust a poll run by an anti-war group? This poll is so biased it's not even funny.

This is NOT a Military Times poll but a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll known to be quite Liberal. Did you even read the article. That's in the first paragraph!

I don't get ticked about the war or about bush, that is above me and my hubby at this point, i get ticked that the army seems to be taking the brunt of the work load and that america seems to choose to be so ignorant at times. I'm at 6 months now without leave and have about seven more before leave and prolly 9 more before homecoming, if he was any other branch we would be planning homecoming. I don't mind the USMC doing 7 - 9 months they see as much hooah stuff as we see in 15, but there is no reason that i can think of that AF and Navy aren't doing a standard 15 month deployment other than the fact they won't tolerate it. I also love the fact that we are 'guarteented' a year with our guys home.... what they don't tell the rest of america is that if our hubby gets a promotion while he's there, he'll have to go to a school when he gets home (especially for nco's/officers) then they leave for 5 or 6 months and by the time they get back from who knows where depending on there mos, they are starting field time for deployment again. We are lucky to get a month or two of family time and then they are gone again. What also disheartens me is that America simply doesn't get it. Not that it's any fault of there own but i have women telling me to suck it up and get the heck over it, that their husband is a firefighter and they aren't 'whinning'. ARRRRGH! Hun next time u go 6 months without looking into his eyes, or smelling his smell or toching him. Having him call and say 'we lost one' and ur world shatter around u, needing him to be there and realizing it's the one thing u can't have...... then u can call me down for whinning which i might do one day outta every four months. The rest of the time i'm too busy trying to hold my life and his together for the both of us. A simple thanku or i'm sorry he's gone would do.

They certainly didn't ask my family, so you have inaccurately reported the margin of error.

The questions also appear to be incomplete. Everyone would love to be our of Iraq within a year. Does that eliminate the possibility of mission completion? Is the 64% out of those who want to be home withing a year or sooner?

Also, how does the 53% active duty thumbs down compare to other Presidents? It will never be 100%

With the constant barrage of anti military anti bush propoganda by the media are you surprised that even good solid military people can get tired of it all after awhile, and want it over, anyone would want it over, but the job has to be finished first. Surprising no one in WW2 was whining about timetables and bring troops home when 3,000 died on one day. how people have lost their moral's and backbone is sickening

Bush won't enable a demoralized tension to impact him. he won't backpedal, admit he's faulty approximately something. Remeber that we did no longer discover any weapons of mass destruction? He did no longer cringe then and he won't now. Is he dropping floor with militia families? So what, may be the Shrubs reaction!

Of course, the LA Times has to make up this lie to cover-up General Petraeus reporting this week that violence was down 60%

Where is the LA Times story on that?

What's truly sad is liberals like you want the US to lose in Iraq.

I guess this sounds right. I think the key is that it includes the family members. I think it's quite normal to not want your loved ones to have to go into harms way. Fortunately, this has absolutely zero percent to do with how and why our military is used, and is in reality a silly meaningless poll (not that the opinions of the military community is meaningless, but rather the purpose of UPI in conducting the poll is meaningless).

You, like all liberals are so ignorant of the military, that you can't even get your lies straight.

I read the article, it was reported by, and based on a poll by the LA Times, not the Army Times. No such poll was ever done by the "Military Times." Please show me a link from the for this poll.

Regardless, you, just like the LA Times are a perfect example of the liberal motto that all lies are the truth, and all truths are lies...

Yes people want the troops home but if we pull out now we will lose ever thing that has been gained there. A lot of troops there see the difference we have made and a lot want to go back.

Source. Me I have been there.

I have many family members that are there. Yes we wish they weren't! But this war is for a purpose. Blame Congress too.
