I don't its as much dishonest as it is indicative of a lack of insight. People who have more insight into their own mind can recognize the difference between what they believe and what they know.

It isn't. And this could also be said for other kinds of beliefs such as some types of scientific theories. When some idea is strongly supported and has created a consensus amongst a large group of people who consider it to be true, it is not intellectual dishonesty at all. If we return to the "religious beliefs" category, let's take an example. One of the most common religious beliefs throughout the world is the belief that murder is wrong and should not be allowed. My statement about this is not intellectually dishonest nor is it a misrepresentation to treat this religious belief as a fact. (Similarly, it is not intellectually dishonest when a large group of scientists who have reached a consensus about the theory of evolution represent their belief as a fact.) So unless you are going to argue that it is intellectually dishonest for most of the world's population to say that the religious belief that murder is wrong is a fact, I shouldn't have to provide any more examples. You're welcome.

Hello sweet Desiree.. :)
For me to say that Jesus is not the savior of the world..would be dishonest..as it is a fact, that Jesus died for All of us..
I have no ulterior motives or any hidden agendas..if I did I, would not be here telling you that I ~Love~ you and Jesus does too.. :)
"Jesus Is the Truth, the Way and the Life"..
Yes, it is the simple Truth.. :)
As for the proof..well an old saying says: The proof is in the pudding, so to speak.. :)
The above is said with ~Love~ in my heart for you and your loved ones.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With ~Love~ In Christ.. :)

Indeed, what's plainly allegory shouldn't be taken literal nor historical; But it doesn't take away from the inherent fact you're also here,
and if you're here you've agreed to play the game of life or death, based on solving the allegoric mysteries of God in time, or not and all the kingdom of God within you perish.
Yet there's also the biblical case of many come to play "their part", as deceivers. You wouldn't be one of them, would you?
Funny thing about them vs them is they say both believe and don't believe; them vs them say both fear and fear not.
Maybe we should all give and take, take heed many shall come to deceive, and give more earnest heed that there is no respect of persons with God, none. All are grounded till we all are one get it: understanding, which Solomon said is grace glory, the glory of God we fell short of in believing "In the the beginning God", as if eternal God has beginning: Not. And anything less than never fail is fail-u-are in the game of life or death where the pass mark of the final exam called Revelation is 100, not 99/100, and surely not 2/3=0.666 to infinity of nothing.
So, maybe working together to reason it out is better than playing the old blame game of my father plays dominos better than your father. This just ends in the hall of shame.
Grace --> Mercy --> Peace with you all. Amen.

If someone believes something, than it is truth to them, therefore a fact. How is that dishonest?
So you're saying you've never talked about something as a fact without having tangable proof that it's true? Never told your neighbor that bananas are 29 cents per pound on sale at the grocery store? Bet you didn't have proof first, maybe you were wrong. Ever talked about something your sister/brother/mom told you? Impossible for you to have tangible proof for every statement you've ever had. Where do you draw the line?

So when you promote hate towards Christians and spread lies about us, you are showing that you are inherently dishonest.
You have hidden agendas and ulterior motives. At least the Christians have good hearts and good intentions. Yours are pure evil.
Shouldn't YOU be more honest and say, "I hate all rekigious people" instead of asking questions in which you portray yourself as being concerned for our welfare? You have refused offers of friendship and goodwill. You've declared war on me and on others who have tried to be nice to you.....you refuse to agree to disagree. You've said that your goal is to be as offensive as possible. How is that good? How does that promote intelligence? It only makes you look bad. You're a bigot, a ruthless tyrant whose goal is life is to attack those with whom you disagree.
I fear for the welfare of your children.

Christan's believe that their religion is the truth. They believe that the bible offers proof of their beliefs. From the Christian perspective they are not lying or stretching the truth, they are saying what they honestly believe to be fact. If I told you that the sky was pink and I honestly believed that would I be lying or just confused? They are not trying to trick anyone and there only agenda is to save you from the eternal fires of hell. However annoying or misguided there attempts to convert you are they aren't trying to trick you.

Not sure about that Jesus dude, but the Flying Spaghetti Monster created everything. It is a fact. Nobody was there, but it was recorded in a written Gospel. Isn't that enough fact for you? It should be.

>> Is it being inherently dishonest to portray belief as fact?
No, what is dishonest (and wildly inane) is to assume that because someone believes they must have no proof for their belief.

Simple huh? No, it is not so simple, because there is massive proof of God but it lies in the spiritual realm, and according to Jesus you have to be part of the spiritual realm to understand spiritual matters. The proof is there for those who believe, but for those who don't believe, they can't see it. That is what Jesus taught.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:8 "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
I Cor 2:For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,
