First I am not a protestant, but I used to be one technicaly.
I used to be episcopalian but I am now Orthodox.
The short ansewer about protestant nuns and monks is it depends on the protestants but usualy no. You might find some Anglican or episcopalian nuns and monks as there have tradtionaly been some Anglicans who sought to emulate the Orthodox or Catholic church. As for the rest of protestantims the ansewer would be no as the protestant movement in gernal regects anything they feel are to Catholic and would consider an ascetic life style like that lived by a nun or a monk to be "salvation through works". Many early had issues with the book of James and depated about including it in the scripture becuse of the lines -faith with out works is dead -and confess your sins to one another so you may be healed.

Lutherans do have Deaconesses, which are very much like Roman Catholic Nuns, not married and all.
I was born in a Lutheran Deaconess Hospital, where the Deaconesses where mostly an order of nurses.
Other than that one hosital and my home church, I've never met or seen any other Lutheran Deaconesses.

No, we do not. Orthodox and Catholics have nuns. Protestants do not have nuns or monks --- for one reason because we don't require that people be unmarried in order to be ordained.

IN reading your questions on answer, i question the sincerity of your questions and answers, I would love to answer, but ?????????? And if by any chance you do believe in God, I'm not sure He is happy with your attitude and if you don't believe in Him, after you die, and you reach your judgement day, you may have wished you did !! I have no idea where you are coming from but SEEMS your questions and answers on your main page don't lend themselves to lead me to believe your question are "sincere 'and to add to that, God won't like that !!!!!!: insincere questions
