I would, because all human beings deserve aid and comfort, despite any harm they've caused to others. It is not our duty to start a vendetta against someone.

In response to Phil M, I don't know what I 'd do in a situation like that, seeing as I've never been in one like that before. We really can't know what we'd do we posed with a lot of pain, but I would try to stick to my principles and yes I would offer to help you with your problem. Also, I wasn't suggesting you help him hide, just to help him with his wounds. Thanks for the responses.

#1) how do I know he is a terrorist?

#2) if someone came into my house bleeding, I am calling 911 and turning them into the police. First for breaking and entering, second.... for something I am sure they did to make them bleed

#3) honestly, I would probably be scared to death and would be terrified BUT I would listen to the 911 operator and do whatever they told me to do.

No. Call cops yes, maybe beat the guy some more, yes. Help soothe his boo-boos, no. In fact I find everyone who has answered yes to be a coward.

If the shooter in the Omaha mall was wounded and came to your house, (or the shooter from Viginia Tech,) and you do anything but call the police and stop his bleeding...then you are a fool.

If someone kicks my child in the face, and then asks me to help me, because they are having an asthma / heart attack. Sure, I will dial 911, but I am sure going to stomp on their face and hands a few times too.

Some of you people need to google the folk story about the Native American Indian and the rattlesnake...

No, I wouldn't at all. I would restrain him and call the authorities....at least I hope I would. My other inclination would be to end his existence.

All human beings that respect life deserve that, if you don't respect life then I cannot respect you.

As for aid and comfort, you would be aiding and abetting a fugitive of the law....you guys could be cell mates and comfort eachother for a long time!

If I walked up to you and punched you in the face, broke your nose and then cracked a few ribs; then I tripped and sprained my ankle...would you wrap it up in an ace bandage, give me a bag of ice for the swelling and then make sure I got home alright? If so, how did you ever get through school?

Um.... your last statement is a false one. You say, "It is not our duty to START a vendetta against someone." This example, you say that a TERRORIST comes into MY house!

So, the first assumption is: A TERRORIST is someone who already HAS a vendetta against "us."

Next, the person has "invaded" MY house, which, at this point can be considered an "aggressive" act.

How, then, do you say to US that it is not OUR duty to START a vendetta against this TERRORIST when it is not WE who STARTED this person's vendetta????

Do you know number for 9-1-1????

Have a blessed day.

Assuming that I know at the time that he was a terrorist? In a way, yes. When I called 9-1-1 they'd bring an ambulance along with the cops.

But I assume you want to know if I would keep him alive until the authorities showed up. The answer is yes. The dead cannot be brought to justice.

Without having read any other responses before answering this question, I would say yes. I just can't stand there and watch anyone-terrorist, Christian, Atheist, pagan, etc, -whoever- bleed to death, starving, cold, coatless, whatever. There comes a time when all my differences with someone else's beliefs or lack thereof, are of no avail when it comes to helping another human being.

Yes

I would just throw him out the door. I don't care. It is not our duty to help EVERY person who comes along and needs help. If someone tells me "it's the right thing to do" I just laugh. You have to learn to live in this world standing on your own two feet and to learn how to acheive your own purpose. No one else has control of that. So like I've said, I don't care.

Now if the terrorist was someone I actually CARED ABOUT then I would help them. :)

The degree to which people would help such a person, is the degree to which our society has been weakend to a unsustainable level within the context of darwinian reality.

Clearly, the choice that is in the best interest of all civilized people who dont want human progress to be islamified, is to refuse aid, and call the police.

Why do you say all human beings deserve aid? Why do you have to help others? ME MYSELF is the most important thing in the whole wide world. I don't understand when people say to help and forgive and love even if it hurts you. I really don't see why. I wouldn't tell the police (unless there is money rewarded for it) because I'm too lazy and not at all meddlesome, but I won't help him.

I would do what I could in my capacity to help him or her. Helping someone who has been misled could plant the seed for creating a change in that person. Also, helping someone medically with basic human needs is not the same as assisting their agenda.

I would help them medically but also notify authorities and keep them at bay until proper authorities take over. If someone needs to be incapacitated at the same time, I would concern myself with my and my family's safety first.
