Cops, parents, school authorities will not care that your gf was being threatened. They have very defined lines between verbal abuse and physical abuse. Should you physically hurt him when he was only talking, you'd get the blame and possibly get into very big trouble (you really do not want something like this to go on your permanent record).

Also, if you've been practicing martial arts for so long, you should know they should only be used for defense. Defense meaning if someone initiates a fight, then you can use your skill to potect yourself or your loved ones. Starting a fight goes against everything martial arts teach you.

I understand you may not want to tell someone because that may give you a bad reputation as a tattle-tale or whatever. Chances are this guy is just running his mouth. Keep your eye on your girlfriend and don't pay attention to this punk. If he starts something, you should beat him up, but not before.

And whatever you do, do NOT listen to these idiots telling you to use weapons. I know you may feel like you hate this guy, but you really do not want to do something you'll regret later (plus assault with a deadly weapon can get you landed in juvie, no matter who starts the fight).

Of course, you don't want to go and pick an argument/fight; but be prepared if this low-life starts to act up again. The man's a bully. I don't recommend violence as the solution to any problem, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. Meantime, practice your moves. That will help you get focused and will also help you blow off some steam, which is always a good thing in situations like this.

i think u should approach the principle about this. I mean the guy is a bully. And he threatened ur gf so if u tell the principle that he threatned her, u could get him suspended or expelled. Also then the bully will come after u. Then be the fighter u are! Do the right thing and may the force be with u

Well, don't go looking for a fight this weekend. Don't look for a fight ever.

If he approaches you again and makes more remarks, don't talk just start the whippin.

Words mean nothing to this guy, he is a punk and I'm sure most of the people in your school would like to see him taken down a couple notches.

As for friends jumping in, I hate that. Talk about wuss of the highest order....If you immediately start in on this guy, his friends will kinda be in shock for a few seconds. Good luck.

I don't stand for any BS from anyone. Don't get physical unless he does. Of course if he throws a punch at you, fight back. Now, if his buddies jump in, you can break arms and legs, but remember that you also stand a chance of having legal matters should they press charges on you. I'm not one for fighting unless it is a last resort. Sounds to me if worse comes to worse, file a police report on the guy doing the harassing.

Matial arts are for self defence only, that's the first thing your father taught you, I'm sure. Don't go looking for a fight. From the way that guy is behaving, the fight will come to you, then you'll have your excuse to kick ***. Be careful, good luck.

You shouldn't fight, you should have her phone the police & get an injunction against them.
But they shouldn't be threatening your girlfriend should they? ;)

This reminds me of that Kenny Rogers song, Coward of the county. "Sometimes you gotta fight to be a man."

I would break bones. My dad is a second dan & my sis is a brown belt & I've seen them training , Nobody is going to be able to hurt you or your girlfriend with a broken wrist, that looks like the easiest move to me.

Well, there are a few scenarios... first he is alone and you can bring it to him and you knocked some sense into him. Second, he is with his friend and you start, and you managed to beat him to a pulp and his friends didn't join in but just watched. You win. Next is probably the opposite, and his friends join in and you get beaten. Find the right place and right time, and do what you want to do. THERE IS A TIME AND PLACE... just need to wait...

I think you should ask your father what he would do in this situation. He has clearly taught you well as you have managed to restrain yourself from using violence. Ask him what he thinks of you using your skill to hurt someone.

Perhaps you should tell the principle that she is being threatened. Better yet, have her tell and stand up for herself. She needs to learn how to deal with bullies and relying on someone to break their moral codes to help her is a lesson she should learn

You need to tell an adult who is not going to knock his block off. Preferably a Teacher or headmaster/mistress this is bullying and it MUST be stopped now. Besides they are all mouth, I doubt they will carry out the assault on your friend. You MUST report it though.
