CLA is found in beef and in dairy in lower amounts. with out getting too technical CLA helps to increase insulin sensitivity (IS) in the muscle cell. when IS is increased there are more nutrients transported into the muscle cell than the fat cell. fat cells do not become resistant to the effects of insulin. basically it's help to partition nutrients.

the levels of CLA are insufficient for any measureable effect today because of the changes in the production in raising catttle and in milk production. to get these benefits CLA needs to be supplemented in the diet. most studies show that a dose from 3.5-6 grams daily is needed

The meat and dairy from these animals are higher in CLA.It is possible that bison may have an even higher number in CLA.
