My tv only has dvi-d port, and the hdmi 2 dvi converter won't fit, so is there any way I can install a hdmi port or a regular dvi port

You got the wrong DVI cable then....

You see, there is DVI for Analog....mostly used on older computers.....

And there is DVI for Digital....that's the cable you want, and most are available at the TV stores.

The pins are actually positioned differently so you can't mistake them....

There is no way to convert the connectors without it looking all boogered up.....and the tiny little mounting pads are next to impossible to solder anything onto them....

Are you talking about a computer monitor or a TV. It would make sense that you have DVI for a computer monitor but not on a TV try this plug your normal dvi cable into this then use the adaptor to go from dvi to hdmi you should have plenty of space if you do this. Then you can use this to plug in your HD devices good luck. Really though unless you have hd devices you won't get any Hd programming or HD dvd playback so component cables are fine.

first fix:, go from the cable box to the dvd player first, then from dvd player to the tv, now if your dvd player doesnt have hdmi out that wont work. second fix: cabal box to the tv, then the tv should have aux cable audio out, just go from that to the dvd player.then loop the dvd player outputs back to the tv inputs to watch movies from it. although if you do this it wont be tru surround, only left and right channels but it will use all 5.1 speakers.
