Those of you who believe in the theory of evolution what actual PROOF do you have that evolution is a reality?

PLEASE, no conjecture, theory, or rhetoric from 'scientists', but FACTUAL EVIDENCE you, yourself have seen.

(Notice this is the question most of you ask of Christians.

Now, it is your turn to tell us what YOUR proof is. Were you there to witness 'abiogenesis'?

Have you seen ANY animal or evidence of any animal that fits between species?

Don't tell me about the 'book' that you read, either.

Science books are written by MEN.)

{MY Book has 3 eye-witness accounts, 2 one-on-one interviews with eye-witnesses, and many accounts dictated by the Author. How many eye-witness accounts can YOU provide?}

in actuality DNA IS A SIGN of creation and not evolution for no two things have the same genetic code if it evolved, which would be both in theory and in praticality impossible ,for then again it would have to have inteligent design for that too. all the so called theories of evolution was done at a time when modern tecnology wasnt available to back it up. all u have to do is go to the insect world and examine the probaibilities that even the tiny bee itself could of evolved bu itself//
secular scientists now state that the honey bee is a marvelest enigineeredand well designed . THEIR has ben more research into what makes up the geneticsand design of the bee now that its on the verge of extinction than atany other period in history,,

scientists are now marveling at the uniqueness of how it was designed . that without the beee most of the fruit we now have would of been impossible to have been remained without the design of this small creature,, //
evolution was just a theory that darwin proposed but never believedin fully himself. it actually spread out of a desire not to acknowledge GOD as creator making it a religious institution and not scientific theory at all.
if it was based soley on science alone it could not stand up in a cour t of lawtoday for the evedince far outways any theory of evolution. WHY then does it thrive and the goverment allows this then//.?
if evolution is just a theory and biblical creation also is based on theory why is one taught as fact and one not allowed at all to be taught in schools??
is their bias then or an attempt by man to instill his own theories against that which his creator states ? to decide this all the evedince would have to be examined side by side and then brought to the eye of all to be fully examined to see just what is more persuasive?
why is it every time a n evolutionists claims have been found to be falsified the retraction that is printed is seldom seen and yet still believed and taught a s truth??
i mean if today someone stole anothers identity or work and claimed it as their own is this not then illegal ? are they not brought to court for this transaction so a jury can decide if something is plagerised or a copy right infringed upon?? .. why then is something as far fetched as evolution then believed by countless hundreds of millions of people and that includes christians too . not examined more closely and in a way that the majority can see for themselves which is truth and what has been falsified to look like truth? some christians believe GOD didnt actually take 6 actual days to create this earth as he stated in his record book... why do we have a 7 day week and not a 10 day week?? the months are based on the moon revolving around the earth, and the year by how long it takes for the earth to revolve around the sun, but their is nothing to determine how long a week is.
think about it and weigh the evedince not of what you heard only but by what can be shown in modern day light as well.. bro ,, murray

A major mistake you made is confusing two separate theories. Abiogenesis and the theory of evolution. Another you made was failing to distinguish between the logical conclusion that organisms evolve and that all life on earth shares a common ancestor with the actual theory of evolution which states that evolution is driven by natural selection. Many of you creationists can't seem to make this distinction. As for evidence of all life sharing a common ancestor, you can visit any natural history museum and look at FOSSILS. You could take a course in comparative anatomy at a state university. You could compare the DNA sequences of all organisms. To save time, you can find genes that control processes known to be crucial to life. If you do that, you'll find that the mechanisms of respiration are universal in the all kingdoms (at least the major steps). You could also sample last years flu shots and see if they still work. Or, you could try treating MRSA with penicillen. You'll die, but you could try and prove how dumb you are until your final breath. There is MOUNTAINS of evidence that support evolution, the theory, and only retards could look at the facts and dispute common ancestry. There isn't a single shred of evidence that even suggests creation. But there is a shitload of evidence that disproves it.
As for witnesses, I've seen this evidence along with thousands of other people with half a brain (unlike yourself). We also have a leg up on your "witnesses". We're still alive. If you want to argue against the mechanism of natural selection, be my guest. You're in good company. But, no biologist is dumb enough to dispute that evolution happens. They'll dispute the why but not the what. Only stupid people such as yourself would do such an idiotic thing.
The bible is NOT THE WORD OF GOD. Honestly, the best evidence for evolution and abiogenesis is the fact that people as dumb as you exist. No creator could make such an obvious mistake.

Oh, brother.

There is more evidence to support the theory of evolution than there is to support some mythical god thingie.

Your have cherry-picked your dictionary, bub.

Here are some definitions of theory AND the source for the information:

1. A comprehensive explanation of a given set of data that has been repeatedly confirmed by observation and experimentation and has gained general acceptance within the scientific community but has not yet been decisively proven. See also hypothesis and scientific law.

2. An extremely well-substantiated explanation of some aspects of the natural world that incorporates facts, laws, predictions, and tested hypotheses. (Eg, Einstein's Theory of Gravitation, 1916)

3. explanation of a problem based upon observations and experiments.

4. a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world; an organized system of accepted knowledge that applies in a variety of ...
5. hypothesis: a tentative theory about the natural world; a concept that is not yet verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena; "a scientific hypothesis that survives experimental testing becomes a scientific theory"; "he proposed a fresh theory of alkalis that later was ...
5. a belief that can guide behavior; "the architect has a theory that more is less"; "they killed him on the theory that dead men tell no tales"

You know what? I feel really sorry for you. You're sprouting crap left, right and centre, believing you've spoken to God, and whatnot. You're one of the most stupid people I've ever encountered! Get a life, please, and just accept facts. Science is slowly but surely disproving the creation theory.

How can we be any more childish than you? Going onto a messageboard and telling people stuff that has been proven to be the opposite!? Shouldn't you be with your husband, and children? Or are you too crazy to have them?

I also thought you were a 14 year old girl, I really did. Would you like a spade, for that hole you're in? And ditch the drugs, love.

There's no proof of evolution. Except fossils, photographs, actual things you can touch, evidence of species in between stages...

But eyewitness accounts? I've seen evidence of flu strains that we can't immunise against because they keep evolving, I've seen lots of pretty fossils.

WHO SAW THE FIRST PART OF GENESIS WHEN MAN WASN'T EVEN CREATED?

Children need to be immunised to PREPARE them for the bloody battle that will take place when the real stuff goes into them 100000000x worse than a half-dead protein of the thing!

I don't deny that evolution is a theory. I think we all know that. You would have to be pretty crazy to believe everything that you read or were taught. I can't even begin to imagine taking a 2,000 year old book as absolute fact. What 3 eye-witness accounts, 2 one-on-one interviews and "many" accounts are you talking about?

edit: "God wrote the bible"? Now I know you are crazy. I didn't think the FACT that it was written by man was in question. You could make the argument that it was divinely inspired (like many others have), but to say it was written by God just goes to show that you aren't interested in what other people have to say. You just want to be right about something you have no proof of either. Change the word "evolution" in your question with "creationism" and you answer your own question with "proof".

First or all, you don't need eye-witnesses to confirm if something happens. That's why forensics is a valid science.

If you approached your house and saw that the door was busted open and the place was a mess, furniture flipped over, with numerous things missing, would you:
A) believe it was broken into by thieves
B) believe God arranged your house to appear as though it was broken into (the missing stuff may thus come back somehow)
C) say no one could know because there were no eye-witnesses, so neither position is credible

What's wrong with books written by men? Are you a femi-nazi or do you believe humanity is flithy and flawed and Fallen and can't do anything right? Either sickens me.

Genetically, chimps are more related to us than they are to gorillas. We're 98% chimp and they are 98% human. How do you explain THAT?

Archaeopteryx fits between dinosaurs and birds. Go see a specimen in a museum or look up pics on the internet. It's easy. You can't say it's 100% bird because it has a long tail (different from short tail with long feathers), teeth, and hand claws.

I've seen fruit flies evolve in a lab. It only takes a couple of months for some phenotypic variations to become prevalent in animals that reproduce so quickly.

Scientific Theory: A theory is an explanation of a set of related observations or events based upon proven hypotheses and verified multiple times by detached groups of researchers. One scientist cannot create a theory; he can only create a hypothesis. In general, both a scientific theory and a scientific law are accepted to be true by the scientific community as a whole. (Definition taken from the website listed in sources)

The term "Theory" in science is a technical term that applies to a model that explains data. The data that the theory of evolution explains is how species change over time. The fact that species change over time can be observed in nature, either through observation of animals with a short life-span or through examination of the successive changes in the fossil record.

Why is the concept of evolution so difficult to understand?

Humans have organs and teeth that have no use anymore. That's why it's okay for them to be taken out. The human body lost the use of these organs and teeth over the years. We evolved to more accurately and efficiently function.

It's not about your religion. It's about understanding what's going on around us, which is information your book CANNOT provide, unless you're one of those people e who staple "goddidit" to every mystery in a sad attempt to prove your creator is real.

But then, stating that "Science books are written by MEN." you've already shown that you are not actually open to conjecture, but here to poke at people and then hide behind your god.

Come back when you've got some balls.

Edit:

"Euphonie" is a deliberate misspelling of the noun "euphony" which means "a harmonious blending of sound" so that it looks more like a name. As for seeing the proof, mind if I cut you open? I'd be happy to show you.

I don't know why I bother with trolls anymore.

Okay, so evolution is 'just a theory'. Electricity is just a theory, too. Theory, in science, does not necessarily mean that the whole thing is a guess. It means that the whole thing isn't known.

As for a delightful example, there is a town in England (it might be Newcastle, but I don't know it) that once had a species of moths unique to the area. They were all white. There were a lot of photographs of them taken for bug collectors. Then the town turned to coal mining. The moths were, just some 30 years later, all black. There were photographs taken of them for an encyclopedia to compare with the old white photographs. Proof.

No, your book has purported eyewitness accounts, which are recorded in the very same book. And it is true because the book says so. None of the supernatural events described are recorded anywhere else in our history.

Science is a coherent framework. There are gaps, sure, and you are free to plug your god in there (it would be near-suicidal) but it works to explain a large portion of this universe and its many complex interactions. It allows us to exert a measure of control; see every modern comfort. Religion didn't bring you that; although many religious man were great scientists (but they checked their religion at the door). I can't see atoms, but I know they are there. For similar reasons I can't show you evolution, unless you have a long time. Its like asking me to show you continental drift.

"Were you there to witness 'abiogenesis'"
Were you there when your Jesus supposedly walked the earth?

"any animal that fits between species"
ALL animals are transitional species in geological time. You're asking us to provide a crocoduck; it cannot be done.

Since I am sure you will never listen to any argument we bring forth, maybe you should listen to Francis Collins. He is a Christian and a geneticist, and although I do not agree with his views, at least he isn't in denial about the fact that evolution is what is going on.
