You poor thing! I hate when I accidentally bite myself. Ouch! Sorry, but other than a topical oral anesthetic such as Anbesol there is little you can do. Just take it easy and have easy to eat things to eat like Ice Cream.
Fortunately, the tissues of the mouth heal very quickly. The quickest healing in your entire body.
Merry Christmas!

It may sting while you're doing it, but rinsing with salt and warm water can help speed up healing of mouth cuts.
Eating soft foods like cold puddings, ice cream, or salty soups may help until the cut heals some.
Drug store oral health department usually have products aimed for mouth irritations. You could read the packages. One product may be Glyoxide - although I'm not sure if that is specifically for irritations/cuts.

Wow, how did you manage to bite under your tongue...? I read that I tried to do it for a couple minutes. Takes some skill to manage to bite there. xD
Anyway, see a doctor! They know way better than us what to do. Or just let it heal, keep it clean, and deal with the pain. Honestly, if you have an open wound in your mouth, though, I'd stay away from salty things... and most things that would get all inside it until it closes up some.

Using some numbing gel, taking some ibuprofen/or Tylenol, sucking on ice, and just giving it some time to heal. Biting your tongue or any part of your mouth is always painful, but you just have to let it heal because there isn't much that can be done.

It may have become a canker sore.
What to do:
-Avoid salty and deep fried foods.
-If you can, try rubbing that part of your mouth against the rest of your gum and teeth.
-There are two things to rinse your mouth with that really help.
1) Salt water: Less effective, less painful.
2) Apple cider vinegar: MUCH more effective, MUCH more painful

I'd put some ice on it to ease the pain; if you have any soluble aspirin try swilling with that as well.
Cuts in the tongue usually heal quite quickly, 1 to 3 days, unfortunately you'll probably just have to hang in there.
Hope you feel better soon!

You could taking try some painkillers such as Advil or Paracetamol.
Sucking ice chips or an ice lolly might also help.
Or a little dab of Oragel or Bonjela on the sore part will soothe it.
