The Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet of God Muhammad (pbuh) through the Archangel Gabriel in stages starting around 610 AD.

The Qur'an is a renewal of God's message to mankind, just like all the books that were revealed in the past. Therefore, Muslims acknowledge and accept the original texts of the Torah and Bible as two of God's holy books.

Jesus (pbuh) is described very well in the Qur'an, from the time his mother, the Virgin Mary (pbuh) was visited by the Archangel Gabriel until the crucifixion of someone who looked like Jesus.

Islam is a wonderful religion. Don't believe what you hear in the ratings-driven media and from misguiding websites. It truly clears your vision and you see the world in a different light.

Islam, in many ways, is the solution and not the problem to many of today's issues.

Peace!

The meaning of the word Islam is submission, that's to God. The message of God to people is very simple which is that there is no other deity but God(Allah) & Muhammed is his messenger who was sent to mankind as a harbinger & a mercy. The book of Islam is the Quran which was revealed to him and written literally during his life time which is one different from the Bible which the only copy of it was destroied and then written again years later from memory.Muslims believe that messengers are only humans and Jesus is one of them .And humans should not worship humans.and that Jesus wasn't crusified but someone else who looked like him. Jesus also has a scripture which is called(Injeel)in the Quran but I really wonder where it is because the Gospel now exsist is written by someone else many many years later after him.I hope that gives you some idea about muslims belief in the Bible and Jesus.

I would suggest you ask this question someplace else. Asking it here may get you people pretending to be Muslims, or a long copy and paste from a website. Go to your local Masjid (Mosque). Or pick up an English translation of the Quran. Abdullah Yusuf Ali has a wonderful translation.

Oh, and Jesus is a revered prophet in Islam, but we do not worship him and he is not the son of God.
