If it hurts others or yourself, it's wrong. If it augments love of God, self or others, then it's right.
Acourse that's not as black and white as it sounds.

Right and wrong depend on the situation. I would say stealing is wrong. If I stole something it would be wrong. But my father was a thief. I am proud that my father stole things because it took a lot of guts to steal things and what he did was right. There are times when there are more important things than following a set of rules.
My father was a prisoner of war and the guards were always looking for an excuse to kill the prisoners for things like stealing. The prisoners needed bandages so my father stole material from the guards' stores. In an evil situation stealing was the right thing to do to save people's lives. He was a good thief.
The bible condemns a lot of activities but it also gives hope. Who knows what the story was behind the thief who got to paradise? Perhaps he was like my father. I think so.

You are mistaken in thinking that religion defines a person's morality. If that were true, the prison population would be almost 100% atheist, instead of almost 100% christian. Those of us who are free of religion are, for the most part, highly moral people, primarily using the Golden Rule as a guide to right and wrong. Historically, religion has proven itself to be a very poor guide to morality, having been used to justify everything from the Crusades, to slavery, to the holocaust. Hitler was absolutely convinced that he was doing the lord's work in trying to eliminate "the Jewish problem".

Am I hurting anyone? If I am in what way? Is it avoidable and is it the lesser of two evils (such as if the question is whether I'm hurting my kids or someone else, sorry the some one else is going down) Will it bring honor to me and my house? Will I get arrested *G*? It just depends on the situation.
I can tell you that my gods don't need glorifying. They can do that on thier own. They expect me to use my brain and think for myself. I make my choices and I live with them.

As I've said before: I don't think doing something for God in hopes of a reward or in fear of punishment is a noble reason to be good. That does not make you a good person. Morality is independent of religion and that is very clear to anyone who takes a minute to think about it.

Wrong is denying someone elses right to create. Each person has the right to create the life they want, either physically or spiritually. Any action that violates that right is what I would consider wrong.

I believe that humans do not need to follow a religion to be good. All we need to follow is the Golden Rule. All we have to do is to treat others they way we expect to be treated. This is the essence of all the goodness. All good religious teachings stem from this eternal principle. This is the ultimate guidance humanity need. This is the Golden Rule.

Let's leave G-d out of it. When faced with decisions there are usually 2 ways you can go. The easy way and the hard way. The easy way is usually the wrong way, the hard way is usually the right way. I have lived my life by this philosophy and it has worked out fine.

I define right and wrong by using the Bible as my guide.
"All Scripture is 'God breathed' (given of inspiration of God) and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16).

Girl, you didn't need an answer to that question. It sounds like you have a pretty good definition of right and wrong to me. Keep giving the good advice that you've been giving.
