It's so hard when your baby is sick!

I may get thumbs down for this.... but what worked for our babies was to dissolve a chewable Vitamin C tablet in water and give that to them every hour or so. The water helps cut the phlegm and the Vitamin C boosts their immunity. (A baby that young doesn't need much though.) Use an eye dropper and only give your baby as much as they will take.

Also, the pharmacy has a saline nasal spray that you can use. It comes with a baby nasal aspirator. After you follow the directions with the spray, you carefully suction out the nasty stuff. (Our doctor told us about this. I think it's called Little Noses???)

Give the baby a warm bath, rub his back, if you got a recliner or a seat/chair that you can lift him up to an angle then let him rest on your chest. if he has a cough the best u can do is make him cough it out because its mucus that hes trying to let out, if its stuck then its gonna have him congested. medication is a plus! childrens tylenol or motrin. rotate back and forth with the medication dont give the baby tylenol and motrin at the same time. if the baby has a runny nose, use the nasal pumper to take it out. although the baby is just a month old keep him from crying the best you can...problem persists for more than 1-2 days see the doc. and they should perscribe u better medication

I keep hearing on tv, under no circumstances, should you give them over the counter cold medications. It said a tiny bit of honey, but a baby that young, wouldn't even do that, without the ok of a doctor.

Make sure no one ever smokes in the house, not even for a visit, or if you're visiting someone else.....And someone else was right on the no over the counter cold meds. Only Tylenol, or Advil (baby).
