Purrrrfectly normal. Once one of our baby boy kittys decided to explore and fell asleep in the very back of my pots and pans cupboard. I don't remember how long he was gone but I do remember the panic everyone was in til we found him, then we couldn't stop laughing. Two of our adult male kittys reach for the door knob, scratch and look back at us as if to say "Hey! Could I get a little help here!" or if it hasn't caught push or pull the door open to get in or out.
Try entertaining Miss Mischief by putting an open PAPER bag on the floor for her to play with or cut holes in the top and sides(different heights, sizes and shapes) of a cardboard box. My cats still play with these inexpensive, home made toys(some of my cats even like them better than the ones I buy(even the really expensive ones).
Just remember to kitten(cat)-proof any and everything she could possibly get into.
Good luck, God bless and ENJOY!

Very normal. I've had cats that can open cabinet doors. They seem to be patrolling for mice or whatever. Upside is that I've never had a mouse problem.....As long as there aren't any chemicals she can get into I wouldn't worry about it. She's just a curious cat. As for the doorknobs, she probably just wants to be able to see her whole "kingdom". If the door's closed she knows that you use that knob to open them so she gives it a try. I had a dog that did that, figured out how to turn the knob with her paws and would let herself out of the house if we didn't lock the deadbolt.

Both of my cats still go into cupboards--one is going on 13 years and the other is 4 years old. I would be careful that she doesn't go where cleaning supplies or household chemicals are kept, but it seems to be relatively normal. Have fun with her--she sounds like a charming handful!

Some cats love to open cupboards, others never understand them. Cats are pretty clever when they figure out about door knobs. Our part-Maine-Coon cat used to dance on his back toes and scratch at the knob while throwing a look back over his should at you like "THIS, I need you to do the thing with THIS. Get it?" Hilarious. He was a cupboard opener but he liked to watch them close themselves since they have self-closing hinges, so he would spend lots of time pulling them open, then watching them plonk closed - over and over for his amusement - and our eventual irritation. But turning on the taps and leaving the faucets running is the bad kitty discovery!

Yes, it's normal curious kitten behavior. I have a 4 year old cat that is still a "cabinet creeper". Sound like your kitten is very smart, you should encourage her to get smarter. Give her puzzles to figure out. Like playing hide and seek with her favorite treats and games like that.

No, Meg is not going to try to take Bubba's kittens from her. My cat Tasha had a litter of kittens and my other cat Winowill would babysit for her when she got out of the box. I had Tasha's mate Muffin with me for a month and even he would get in with the kittens (they were his) and clean them. So in my experience, I have seen other cats who have grown up together take care of each others kittens. Tasha's only kitten that I kept had a litter and Tasha cleaned and babysit for her. Now they are all spayed.

Very normal for an active 4 month old kitten. Get her some catnip toys or catnip to keep her more occupied.

For a kitten, behavior like that is extremely normal and slightly expected. If your cat weren't like that, I would be slightly concerned.
