It seems to me they want to save every penny. What do you think?

I wish my state of Texas would do this.

Why should illegals get ANY benefits, including prenatal care? They shouldn't be here!

That's not an attempt to 'save every penny" it is just what is right!

Rep Shane Jett...what an idiot
"said he would file legislation that would set up a pilot program for those who wish to continue working in Oklahoma. Workers would be able to purchase a tax number identification card that would be an affidavit documentation of good-faith intent and effort to comply with Oklahoma state law. Money from the workers would be used by the state to pay for any public services used by illegal immigrants."

Did Jett say how much these were going to be? Unless he wants to charge upwards of $10,000.00 each there will be a serious shortfall. Who gets to make up the difference? Where does the money come from to administer this program? How do they keep the illegals from forging them?

All he requires is an "effort" to comply with Oklahoma State law. Does this guy realize what a joke he is? Oh gee Mr. Jett, I really made an effort to comply with the law it was just too difficult...like drinking and driving without a drivers license. I really didn't want to drive but I was just too drunk to walk. So what if i ran into some American citizens and killed them. I really did make the effort and that is all your law required.

Just another stupid politician catering to the illegal alien lobby with an unworkable plan.

Word is 25,000 left the state after the frist deal hit the stands, so it must be working. As they say "lol" in Texas. San Antonio stated it would be taken without a shot in 1982, go figure. Although the lady from El Salvador that ran into my care was nice until the police got there and then went balistic ansd said they could tow it, no insurance, reg, etc. but the police looked the other way and I did not press it although I got a ticket because the stupid insurance card ahd fallen in between the seats, right there in beautiful Lewisville. Go figure. Hang in there troops are on the way!

My God this makes me think of of the Gestapo searching down Jews for the duration of WWII. And Jewish sympathizers hiding Jews different than this time it fairly is Mexicans. as much as I see parallelisms, i understand the regulation and that's unlawful to immigrate to this united states of america with out dealing with the approach. And... if absolutely everyone seems to be allowing others to immigrate to this united states of america illegally by offering nutrients and shelter, which includes my own faith the Catholic Church, then I could area with my government and enforce the regulations well-known by people who've studied the undertaking and have made the regulations. No mas to unlawful immigration.

Thought some cities in Texas such as Houston and Irving were finally cracking down on illegals? Pressure your politicians..it is a hot topic in next years election. Unfortunately I live in Colorado and it is out of control!!!

It's great, but I'm a little jealous - my state (California), possibly one of the most naturally beautiful in the nation (environment-wise), already seems to be doomed and will be the last, if any, state to receive such measures.

We can only hope that some of our "leaders" will come to their senses.

People deplore the war in Iraq; the same people encourage the war here, the Illegals invading our country.

Make up your collective minds; if trying to help Iraquis is "wrong", then for certain being invaded by Illegals is wrong.
