There are no (absolute) proofs for, or against, the existence of God.

Proof is a tricky word. Many people think that proof establishes something is an absolute fact. That's not often the case; at least, not in the everyday world.

In jurisprudence and science, a reasonable basis for proof is based on solid evidence and the absence of any known contradiction. There's a "reasonable person" standard which defines proof as "beyond a reasonable doubt". The test of time fortifies proofs.

You say there are no unicorns? Prove it. You see? ABSOLUTE proof is an illusion -- especially when trying to prove a negative, such as "There is no God".

However, rephrasing the assertion from "There is no God", to "God is imaginary", makes proof easier, using the "reasonable person" standard. We can't ABSOLUTELY prove it but we can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

Consider this . . .

No matter where man has spread, he as created countless gods. From aboriginal Australians to tribal Africans to American Indians to ancient Egyptians . . . they've all created gods prolifically and with ease. That man creates gods is a well-known, indisputable fact.

But what about the opposite? God creating man? We DON'T know that he did. We have no evidence that he did. We have no reason to think that he did. All the evidence points to evolution over the course of billions of years. There's growing evidence that life originated from abiogenesis -- from an electro-chemical reaction in the primordial soup of early Earth.

So, with countless thousands of gods to man's credit, believers are in the untenable position of asserting that all the gods that came before and after theirs are false . . . but their own god (and religion) is real and true. Asserting that one's own god is real, when we know that man created all the others, is ridiculous. It is so unlikely that we can safely consider it delusional.

Man has created countless thousands of gods and YOURS (if you believe) has NO evidence. That, my friend, qualifies God’s existence as dubious, at best, and faith in him as misguided and misplaced. Based upon the preponderance of evidence, the assertion that "God is imaginary" meets the reasonable person standard for proof and has withstood the test of time for thousands of years.

That's like saying you don't have enough faith to be a nonbeliever in a purple monster living on the other side of the moon. If you have no reason to believe it exists, then you do not need undeniable proof. Otherwise you could spend your entire life attempting to gather proof that every imaginary thing does not exist. Why waste the time and energy on something like that?

Atheists disbelieve in god because they see no reason to believe in a god. If you provide proof that a god exists, they will believe. But since you have no proof, they would not waste their time doing your research for you. You're the believer. The rules of logic say the burden of proof is on you. Stop trying to shift responisbility and come up with your proof if you are so certain, faithful one.

So, since you need undeniable proof to believe in something, I guess you're not a theist, either. Atheists, for the most part, don't need undeniable proof to not believe. We just need to understand that there is no proof of god's existence, or reason to believe in god.

Atheism isn't about proof. It is about lack of proof. The burden of proof is on the theist. Let me give you an example. If I was to say that there are pink elves in my closet, you have no way of proving me wrong. Even if you tracked me down and opened up my closet, I could just say that the elves are hiding right now. If I make the claim, than I need to provide evidence for the claim.

Most atheists offer no proof as to why God does not exist. They offer reasons for not believing in God, but no proof. And this does not discredit their opinion.

well, no one can have a position of complete certainty because of the lack of evidence. Formal logic (deduction) requires conclusively correct premises for a conclusive resolution.
You don't have anything to back up any premises on this question, which means you need to use Informal logic. and it says, in the absence of any evidence, you can view it as unlikely. in the absence of any evidence in a situation where nearly EVERYONE has asked the question and MANY people have dedicated their lives to finding a single SHRED of evidence and have come up with NOTHING, it's safe to say it is as you feared: the rich created god to control the poor and the stupid, and it worked great until science came along. now, we can look everywhere and be amazingly good at gathering evidence of all kinds of things and guess what - still nothing.
You don't have to say "it's impossible" to get on with your life....you don't have to know for certain. Certainty only applies to things like numbers and physics. in the case of most things, there is no certainty.
DeCartes screwed us up when he said " a perfect being would know everything for certain, so anything less is imperfect knowledge". that was 500 years ago, man - He was wrong - certainty is an illusion is almost everything. let me put it this way. certainty is a luxury that is only available in a limited number of subjects - and philosophy ISN'T on of them.

Being an atheist requires a lack of faith or a refusal to believe and have faith. But either way there is no proof that there is or that there isnt a God. Many of us believe that there is but we dont know for sure.

Yes, stressful approximately matters alternatively of trusting God is sin, however what number of sins did Jesus prefer to be not noted of the forgiveness kit. Only one, you assert. Was that one 'stressful'? Nope. Jesus forgives all repented sin. From the entire of your query it's transparent you repent. You are attempting your first-rate to show clear of it. God honors that. He forgives each and every and at any time when and also you get more potent each and every and at any time when. Jesus mentioned we need to come to God as little kids. If a bit of baby falls in view that he refuses to keep his father's hand at the same time finding out to stroll, the daddy does now not abandon the baby in his efforts. He hovers across the baby protective him at the same time he learns to do what he demands to do. Each time the baby falls he's more potent for the following take a look at till finally he conquers the mission. God is like that. He is round us consistently making definite we do not get harm an excessive amount of, cheering us on once we get each and every little aspect proper. Lean on Him just like the little baby leans on his dad or mum. He loves you.

I have no desire to prove to you that God does not exist.

It is also not my responsibility to provide proof that your irrational claims of omnipotent, magical, invisible, supernatural beings are false. You're the one making the claim that such a thing exists, and we just don't believe you. You're the one who's responsible for providing proof.

And it doesn't take "faith" to not believe in something for which there is no evidence, and makes no sense, anyway.

Do you believe in everything that you lack a proof doesn't "undeniably" exist? UFOs, ghosts, psychics, the Easter Bunny, little green men from Mars, the Matrix, etc?

I have enought faith to believe in god, you sound confused, why not pray to God and see's what happens, ask him for strength, ask him to show you he is around???? if you can see what's around you, and inhale it all, all the beauty, that is the creator, and that he is in control, as are we to be(but we live with a corrupt govt). Things are very confusing these days for young people. Their is a bad smell in each state of the USA, corruption, and its too bad, where I grew up, I never knew a single person that did not believe in God, or go to church, it was something everybody did, I do not attend church anymore, I pray at home, wow what a difference now a day's, and you are falling right into where the govt. want's you and everyone else. very sad, good luck God bless you, hopefully you can find you way to the top!!!!
