My fiance and I are starting to register for our wedding. We already live on our own and have many of the things a couple would normally put on their registry.

Does anybody know of any good websites that give suggestions of what to put/not put on a registry? We don't want to put anything tacky on there (like dvds or stuff like that) but we want to give our guests *something* to choose from.

Do not include:

Personal/intimate items
Gaming/gambling items
Items over $350
Items that will require expensive shipping costs
Large expensive items such as plasma tv's
Unnecesary items: ipods, dvd's, cd's.

Do include:
-Kitchen aid mixer
-China pattern

-Useful household, travelling or leisure items that you BOTH can enjoy
-Items between $25 -350 dollars

Good luck

Register for your honeymoon!

My fiance and I are actually thinking about doing this. I wish I could remember the sight we were looking at, but I googled "honeymoon registry" and got a whole list of websites that do it. I think it's a great idea for people who have already been living together for a while so don't need most of the things that go on a "traditional" registry!

There are a few things you can consider we registered to items to replace stuff we had.... like nice pots and pans... plus small things - you want to give a good variety of items and prices. You might look at amazon.com - they will allow you to register from a number of places. We chose William Sonoma, Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn.

Another idea is to great a honeymoon registry where people can put money towards your honeymoon.

I believe theknot.com has suggested registries. Try a google search for "wedding registry ideas".

Good luck!

Have two different places to register alot of people can't afford pricy gifts. Have one at Macys and the other at Targot.

Even though you do have the necessities, there's nothing like a great set of sheets--think high thread count--600--wow! You'll wonder how you slept on those regular sheets for so long!

Register for things you won't buy for yourself- crystal, nice serving pieces, candlesticks, fancy frames. You'll never really have another occasion to get these things.

If you have everything you need, don't register. Your guests have minds of their own, you know.
