aw thats so sad.. i feel bad..do what you think is best. you arent replacing your puppy you lost, your just restoring the place of a dog in your house. idk maybe it would be for the best. there are lots of other puppies and dogs who need homes.

I'm sorry to hear that. But maybe this is just what you need. Some new love to have! Having a pet truely is like having a loving best friend with you always! I think a new pup may bring you more happiness. It's not like this new dog will replace your lost ones. You'll always have them with you in your memories. Maybe it's just time to make new ones. You can't go through to the future by looking to the past. Best of luck!

How unfortunate! I'm very sorry for you. If you're willing to open up your heart to another dog, then go ahead, and also if you think you're ready to look after a dog without comparing it to your old one. Maybe a puppy (or adult dog) is just what you need - something to love, nurture, care for and have fun with, to take your mind off your grief. I'm not saying forget what happened, but don't dwell on it. Ultimately, though, it's your choice. I'm just giving my opinion

I am sorry for your losses. My sympathies go out to you and your family.
I think if you are ready for a new dog then you should go ahead and get it. It can't replace what you've lost but it can give you a lot of love and happiness. Good luck with whatever you decide. If not now... then maybe a little bit later on.

I am so sorry for your loss. That is unusual for 2 animals to die from the same disease at the same time. Were they diagnosed by a vet? and he is sure they were not poisoned?
The love you have for one animal is never the same as another. You don't love the first one more or less just differently. And there is nothing like the love of a great dog.

First off, my condolences.
Wait for a while, and then get a new dog.
Find one that reminds you of your old dog, and give it a name that hallmarks the legacy of your old dog.
As for your grandfather passing and it being on your birthday, I can't imagine how much it hurts right now. Make sure you take your new dog with you and show it to your Grandfather when you visit him later on. I think it your grandfather would appreciate that, and be able to see that his favorite grandchild is making it ok, and that you love him as much as he loved you.

I'd say go for it, but I think you should wait to get the pup a few months after Christmas. Getting a puppy during the holidays is not a good idea, because of all of the decorations, food, and parties. Go ahead and get one, just wait to bring it home a little later.

you should get another dog because I think it is a good idea to have a friend. if you are a only child you have a friend right there to cheer you up when you are sad. Plus if you are home alone your dog is there to play with
