First, it has to be somebody that you love just the way they are without any changes.

Next comes the hard part. You must realize that both of you will grow and change throughout your lifetimes. For a relationship to work for the long haul, it must be with somebody that you will love no matter how they change. In fact, your love will cause you to encourage and support changes that will help them be the best person they can be.

How does one know who your partner will change into? That's my definition of true love. It's not just loving who they are, but loving whoever they become.

I don't think there is only one answer, but rather a combination of answers to your question. To make this as brief as possible and to answer your question: I personally think that being open minded and forgiving go hand in hand. Without one, the other doesn't matter and vice-versa. These traits are absolutely necessary for a happy, sustainable marriage/partnership to exist.

Lots of prayer.... Once you get them, even if they're the right person it's gonna take work. Putting your wants aside for her wants and vice-versa. Your gonna want someone who is the true them in front of you, and someone who isn't selfish in any way!
