I think most people overbreed because they are consumed with themselves, they want a bunch of "mini-me" to commemorate their genes and copulation... and also, simple ignorance. Ignorance of how birth control works. Ignorance of the vast amount of money and resources it takes to raise just one kid properly. Ignorance of the fact that babies grow up, and kids are annoying as hell. I'd rather have 10 baby pigs than one baby human. Less mess, and less noise.
Also, the fact that intelligent people tend to breed less and less intelligent people tend to breed more is telling that we have a MUCH higher chance of being overpopulated by buck tooth, drooling Billy Bobs, than a ton of oncologists.

I kinda go about my sex life like that... Have sex with as wide a variety of women as possible to get that one blissful perfect one.... no matter how good it may be, there just might be a better one, so I will try another just to be sure...
