I believe that they and work and that they can be healthy just like any other relationship. Why, because i've been in one for 4 years now, he lives in Germany and i live in USA. Its definately hard work but we think its worth it because we both care about eachother and know that the distance won't be forever. Some people say that age is a big issue, i dont, its the maturity of the people not the age (my boyfriend and i were only 16 when we first started dating). Another thing people say is that someone will cheat (my boyfriend and i have never cheated) and the thing to remember is that cheating happens to couples that see eachother everyday, so its not the distance alone that is a factor. some also say that you have to vist often, I get to see my boyfriend one month out of the year, sometimes more or less. Finally some say that after a while it get boring, that only happens where there is not enough communication going on and the creativity of the couple is winding down, it takes work to keep it going. I hope this helps, email me if you have more questions. :)

long distance relationships are sooo hard, there's just too much potential to screw up. but if you're really diligent then it could work especially if you guys have intentions of being together- either her moving romania or you moving to america (or something like that). if not then you guys are just putting off the inevitable.

They'll work for a little time, but soon you must make a choice and either she moves or you move, or you give it up. Make sure you exchange visits, BOTH places, and see her at her home, and she sees you in yours. Also, talk a lot before you decide.

I used to live in California. Ms. Red lived in Florida.

Now we live together in Florida.

Best of luck to you.
