dinner menu. Of course it’s a small wedding bout 50 people and its buffet style. We won’t to have choices between American food and Spanish food. But we would also like them to be able to go well together incase you want both. Any ideas on what to have for either or both?? Thanks for all the help!! **Future Mrs.Teron**

They only reason I want both is cause the older people in my family are not open to new things. And his Grandmother would really love us to have Spanish food also at the wedding so we're trying to please both sides.

Umm.. just because their heritage is spanish, and your families is american doesnt mean they arent open to eatting food from either, both or neither.

I agree with the guy who did chicken and rice. But keep something in mind. most menus served at receptions.. arent american. There is very little food that is truly "american". A lot of menus are usually french in base. I say do what taste good. i say throw everyone off and do Chinese!

Future Mrs. Teron; firstly let me congratulate you on your upcoming marriage tomorrow. If you haven't gotten the buffet settled yet then I's suggest that you may be a little late. Sorry about that just saw that it is next year. So why not speak with both of your parents and see what they would suggest as they would have a lot more practice at this I would imagine. Secondly, also talk with your caterers and hopefully they can make the taste buds as great as the day. Good luck and congrats again.

Im white, my fiance is Puerto Rican. We chose a reception venue that would allow us to bring in some of our own food. His grandmother and aunt are making HUGE pots of Aroz Con Bechwelas ( rice and beans ) I dont know if I spelled that right, like I said Im the white one. LOL! We also are having a bit of salsa music for his side of the family. Other than that its polish style buffet all the way baby!

You don't mention your ethnic background....but I had a huge party with Italian and Spanish so I served Arroz con Pollo, Spanish Pork Ribs, Chicken Piccatta, Baked Ziti, Meatballs, Sausage P & O, Salad and cake. Worked out great for both sides.

Congratulations on your wedding! To make my answer clearly, can you indicate what is his nationality? When you say Spanish I am thinking of Spain. If that is where your fiance from, then traditional Spanish dishes as paella, merluza (hake), tapas, and deserts such as Dulce de Leche are great selections.

If he is from another Spanish-speaking country, just let me know and I will give you my opinion on what would be ideal.
