If you didn't know, Anne Rice, returned to her Catholic roots a few years ago. She will now only write books about Christ. He first one was, Christ the Lord. Excellent read!

I don't read books because they are written by 'atheists'. I read a book if it is any good.

I have actually read 'Interview With...' and 'The Vampire Lestat', years ago. I thought they were very entertaining.

I hadn't a clue what Anne Rice believed in. I didn't care and neither do I care now.

I don't care what an author's personal belief system is. I care only for what they write.

Good for her, she's a fine author. I like a few Christian bands as well, but most are agnostic/atheist

Tool
APC
System of a Down
Pink Floyd
Zeppelin

Most of the most creative bands in history have not followed organized religion, or been anti-religion. I'm only telling you this because it seems you're trying to make a statement, but the same is true with authors.

Koontz
Stephen King and many others are skeptical of religion.

Very sad.
She is my favorite author.
I haven't gotten to read any since the chronicles, but I plan to.
I understand why she turned back to religion. She lost her daughter and her husband, and now she's getting older and knows she will die soon. Maybe she's had a visit to the doctor recently that the rest of us don't know about.
Alot of people go back to belief when they get closer to dying.
It doesn't matter though.
I will read her new books with the same veracity and respect for her talents that I did the older ones.
She is awesome, I love her, and I wish her only the best...

It doesn't surprise me. She tends to get carried away in the moment, like when she took out a double-page ad urging people not to see the film of her book 'Interview with the Vampire', and then six months later taking out another double page ad saying that the film was brilliant ("See it, see it, SEE IT!") Give her another couple of years and she'll either be an atheist again or have embraced Buddhism or something.

She's a great author, who has been through unbelievable pain and tragedy in her life. She lost a small daughter to leukemia, and then her husband to cancer in 2002. After the death of her husband, she turned back to religion. If it brings her comfort, then good for her.

Was and still am a fan of Anne Rice.

Interview with the Vampire was the last good book she wrote, so I honestly don't care. She's quite boring.

Besides, I'm sure she made lots of cash from the Christ book.

Anonnie Mousse - you're conscious that devil additionally believes in Jesus are you no longer? Believing in Jesus does no longer make absolutely everyone a Christian. a individual ought to settle for their sinful nature and confess and repent of all their sins believing that Jesus died to take our punishment for them. i do no longer understand if Anne rice ever did this with the aid of fact i do no longer understand who she is. God knows the place she stands nevertheless and that's what concerns.

And the same year her first Christian book came out, her home city of New Orleans was struck by Hurricane Katrina. Guess god doesn't want her writing for him, huh?

1. Made enough money writing vampire books to tide her over.
2. Succumbed to the scary allure of a near death experience.

Her vampire books no longer were selling and she needed a different con. Religion works well into that. Now she can milk millions out of christians who'll buy her dribble.
