I signed up for a job at wendys since its a walk away from my house plus I need to save up for school....education is not free...sadly.

Anyway I got a call back and was very thrilled since my job searching days are over.

But the manager there said it takes two interviews and thinks I would be be perfect.

So she said she will call me either tomorrow or in two days so I can talk to manager number two.

She calls and tells me to come in.

So she has me fill out alot of paper work I mean alot....so an hour later am done.

She tells me she messed up and the manager was not here today but will call me in two days and it is possible I have to write all over again.

So after the two days I call her and she said something about the other manager but she will call.

Now its been three days and no calls...did they give up on me?
Is the other manager ever going to call?
Is this even normal?

Yes, it's normal. Management gets busy, have days off. They may be short-staffed and having difficulty finding the time to get new staff in. Don't worry. Wait until Monday afternoon, and then call back. Tell them you're really interested in working there and would just like to follow up with them. Then don't say a word until they have replied. Let them be the first to speak and it puts them in the position of fixing it and also explaining themselves instead of putting the burden on you. Good luck.

It's normal...for a disorganized business. I would go down there again and speak to someone in person. Be sure to visit after 2 p.m. and before 4 p.m. These are the least busy times for a restaurant.

Normally, I would just say to go somewhere else, but you did mention that this location was ideal fo ryou.

I wouldn't take it personally--it sounds like they have a disorganized management staff and your application just fell through the cracks.

Here's some other advice: when you do speak to someone, write down their name. That way, you can be referred back to them instead of the "manager" on shift.

Not sure what it means but be persistent. Keep going by there to talk to the manager and ask him/her again about the job.

The squeaky hinge get s the oil.

Normal: maybe, correct: absolutely not. This is you typical under-qualified disorganized fast food restaurant manager.
She may call back or she may not. I wouldn't bother following up, just go somewhere else and apply for a job.

Well, there you see who your bosses will be. Looks like that place would be hell working there. Find somewhere where people actually feel like doing their job there. Why Wendy's? Wendys sucks. What about a book store? video store?

Just keep persuing them. visit the office again if it is possible and be straight forward to let them speak about the status of your candidature....... if it was successful, unsuccessful or still in process. If in process then how long it will take more?
