Check the ingredient label on the food you feed to your dog. I bet the first is some type of grain or grain meal (corn, wheat, rice). Look for a brand that has this item farther down the list. The food I use is Nutro Max. The first ingredient is chicken meal. That's chicken without the water. The grains and sugar are farther down the list.
As the bacteria in your pets G I tract digest the grain and sugar one of the bi-products is gas. Just like when you make bread, yeast releases gas and the bread rises. The gas in your dog has to go somewhere. It can go up or down. Sometimes up is just as bad.
It took about 9 months to find a food for my dog that didn't give him an upset stomach. Some times we still have to leave the room and I think the dog smiles when we do.

There is something in the food that
1) causes gas
2) she is allergic to
3) or she has a gut problem
Don't change her food, but try her on some yogurt. A small amount each day for a week (large table spoon) and see if that helps. She may just need better bacteria in her gut. Be sure the yogurt is not cows milk. which can cause diarrhea.
If that doesn't work, try another type of food. If she has allergies she may need something that is lamb and rice based.

It is a difficult question to answer without knowing any details:
what type of dog, how old, when did the farting begin, has there been a change in either the frequency or duration of farting over the past few months, is there a particuliar time of day that the farting is most noticeable, what brand of dod food do you use, have you noticied if your dog has recently attempted to eat grass, anything else?
It sounds like you dog has "canine gas", but that is just a guess.

her food might not agree with her. There is no such thing as a "perfect" dog food. If it makes your dog sick then it is no good. Try California Natural. It has minimum ingredients and it is what I feed to my sensitive dog.
She may not be getting enough exercise too. If she just sits around all day and sleeps and eats that could cause her to fart a lot.

If you feed dogs anything unusual, this may come to gassing. All dogs gas once in a while, but not too much or something's wrong. Nothing bad will happen, just try and give her different food than normal and see if that helps...

What do you mean by so much? Count how many times you fart in one day. My guess is she is passing a normal amount of gas and it just seems like and abnormal amount. If the food is good, if she's exercising, if she seems generally happy, then she's just a normal little pup making some room!

My dog is a gasser, too. She eats Wellness (high-quality food), but still has a gas problem. She doesn't do it often, but when she does, you know she did it. She's facinated by it too, and will walk around in circles sniffing the air and looking at her butt =P
It's normal as far as I know. Maybe she's just gassy like my dog. My dog also burps..come to think of it, she's kind of a pigglet..

I have found that can dog food and also a lot of dog treats causing my dog to have gas. Try a good quality dry dog food. I always feed my dog predigree or purina beneful and he never has a problem with that.

It is probably its dog food because my dog farts a lot after she eats her dog food and the other one doesn't after he eats. So it's the food your dog eats.

In older dogs it's just part of the aging process and you can only reduce it so much because just like us they don't process foods as well as they get older. In younger dogs, most vets will tell you its dietary so adjust his food.
