I usually find the cheapest flight direct from the airline website. I use a site like www.orbitz.com to compare fares from different airlines and then I buy direct from the airline website.

There is no single website that always has the lowest fares. It might be an airline website. It might be a third-party website that has consolidator fares. It might be an opaque site such as Hotwire or Priceline. The answer may vary depending on where you are flying and which dates. You have to search multiple sources if you really want to get the lowest price.

You have to do the leg work I'm afraid. If there was just one website all the others would be out of business wouldnt they.
