And, when I say HATE I mean they ruin the taste for me of anything they're in, and if I eat one I feel ill.

I understand. We love frozen peas. Once you begin eating fresh or frozen, the canned ones are not very ap(pea)ling. I love the pop of frozen peas in salads. We add them to many casserole dishes, and the best news is they are healthier, and have not had the nutrition cooked out of them like canned ones. :)

A lot of people agree with you. The canned peas are sitting around in liquid, and the flavors change. Frozen peas were froze hours after they were picked, so the flavor is very similar to fresh.

I am the same way with the peas. the texture is horrible in the canned peas.
The only veggies I will eat from a can are corn or green beans. other than that i keep away!

I used to only like canned green beans or asparagus, the fresh (frozen) just didn't have a good taste to me. Now with the right seasoning I'll eat the fresh (frozen) ones too. My sister will only eat fresh or frozen veggies, she will not eat canned at all. I will agree, they have different tastes.

Canned peas are usually mushy and have a gross texture versus the frozen ones. And yes, canned corn is the same for me.. I like frozen corn on th cob!! LOL It doesnt make me feel ill, its just a preference. The frozen veggies usually taste fresher than the canned ones anyway. Just my thoughts lol

Doesn't sound strange! Canned peas have a distinctly different flavor from frozen or fresh.
I can't stand sweet pickles. Probably one of the only foods that make me feel sick when I taste it.

Canned peas are disgusting! Fresh peas are wonderful. On the otherhand, I love canned spinach. My husband hates it. Go figure.

Canned peas are gross, fresh and frozen peas are great.
