Meineke oil change options?

is there a BIG difference in the basic oil change and preferred oil change?

i have 2006 nissan sentra w/ 22000 miles.

also, is it necessary to get an oil change every 3000 miles or can i go longer, like around 4500 miles?

Never more than 4,000 miles. and if you wanted to use full synethic oils maby 5,000 miles.

I know you were upset but did you check the oil level when you got home? Did the oil lamp come on? Despite the mess you saw under hood it may be that only a small amount splashed out while you were driving and caused no damage. While not desirable a car can operate on less oil without harming the engine. The engine could be disassembled and the wear parts inspected for damage but I suspect you don't want that for your new car. One thing I advise is that have your full complaint in the exact words you made it, both for the oil mishap and the A/C problem, documented on their service complaint/request form and get a copy once you pick the car up. It may be of some future benefit.
