to be honest I really dont care if they are here legal or illegal just that they try to follow the law not all of them are bad and most of them are legal just because you have brown skin does not mean you are legal...the puritans didnt have any documents when they came here so why should they I think we should welcome them!

Unless you are of native american decent, we are all immagrants (legal or illegal). I'll bet the native americans wished they had a stricter immigration policy! :-)
This "jobs american's don't want" is total BS. The fact is companies don't want to pay decent wages. Certain industries like say the meat packing industry, the work is messy, smelly, dangerous, etc. Amercians expect these jobs to be higher paying, because it's an unpleasant job. But companies don't want to pay higher wages. They'd rather import somebody from some country where the wages they are willing to pay are considered to be high wages. If you want to pay the guy who grounds up the beef the same wages you pay the guy who cooks the beef at McDonnalds, people will choose the better job every time. Illegal imagrants do not report OSHA violations or bring sexual harassment lawsuits, or unionize - there are a lot of reasons (not good reasons mind you) why companies seek out illegals. But in all fairness, your question was about legal immagrants. There are people down at the unemployment line who would gladly take these jobs. That "jobs nobody wants" line doesn't play too well down there. It just doesn't ring true.

we'll im a legal immigrant to this country, here for school and mostly plan to settle down here after university.
i think it is nice that america is welcoming to legal immigrants because we take jobs americans dont usually want...my classes are full of international students but very few americans.
however, people who want to do the jobs which americans do arent as welcome, your government is very careful to regulate the flow of workers, which is smart but leads to illegal immagration.
it is only human to want a cupcake and not be content with a dry nut.

Legal immigrants take plenty of jobs - coincidentally the same number of legal immigrants here working matches the number of Americans without health insurance.
Do you realize how snotty you sound when you say Americans don't want jobs - who do you think built this country and used to do those jobs before the wages were slashed and benefits were eliminated?

Absolutely not, no matter where they came from further I think it's a shame the heavy hard feelings have fallen on what we call illegals, with out doubt most are desperate people who need to support a family and not just better them selves. That's why I think the big scorn should fall on the people that hire them and the people who facilitate them that is the magnet that draws these people and walls & fences ar next to useless.

Illegal tells it all. Illegal means that they have broken the law in our country, not their country, our country.
We are a country of immigrants and we welcome hundreds of thousands every year. We welcome them because they have come here legally, with purpose and reason and are as I said LEGAL.
Now anyone coming in illegally, well they started out breaking the law, and they need to leave. That's it plain and simple and don't give me they are only doing jobs that Americans won't so. Even CNN interviewed one guy who was manager of a restaurant.

Legal immigrants are good for America. They're people who want to be Americans, to act for the good of America. They obey the law.

Se Senorita., maybe we should send all the christian illegals back to Mexico, and open the doors for legal Muslim Iraqys and Iranians, and Saudis. Hey how would that grab all of you, you can bet that the Muslims in these countries can't wait to come here and shove their culture down our throats.
