Why is the United States Government dragging it's feet on enforcing our immigration laws and what can American citizens do about it?

Vote out your state and federal officials who refuse to enforce our laws and who are blatant enemies of America by doing this; and vote in the candidates that will do the job these 'Americans' won't do.

I believe that OIC means HELLO - 911 as in (hello, police emergency), not 9-11

Politicians from both party’s want the Hispanic vote in 2008.
Otherwise there would be a fence and armed guards with orders to shoot on sight.

Put thirty million people in jail? Becasue that would be great for a prison system already at 150% cpacity. Or, put them back where they came from, so that they can just come back the same way? Breaking the law a second time in the process. I forsee the response, "strengthen the border". It is physically impossible to secure the US border, based only on the size and sheer number of people tryign to cross illegally.
