The war is a solution to some of our problems, but it is impossible to find a solution to all problems. This war is a controversy as to why it was even initiated. Some say Bush is in the pocket of oil companies, others say he is patriotic and wants to end terrorism, regardless we are at war.
This war is very similar to that in Vietnam, the reason there is less protest is due to the fact the draft has not been initiated. The aftermath of this war will be deep reaching. The world is mostly against America's involvement in Iraq and will affect our international relations. Meaning, all of our luxurious imports from China and India, are no more. This will cause a laps in our economy cause a depression. The degree of the depression cannot be know, probably not as extreme as the Great Depression, but not just a dip either. After we get on our feet, as a country that is not the world power we will be on our own. This means that the nuclear family will become a part of America again, and we will produce our own needs, just like we did in the 1950's. In all essence we will reset our society and get back on top, but to keep us up there we have to rely on a honest government, and big business. According to history and human nature, this is only a dream.

No it isn't but it can solve some of them since the reality of humanity is that "peace and love" don't always work, actually very seldom does in the real world of politics, the alternative is war or threats there of. Not an American problem more of a world wide human problem.

no war is not the answer to all of our problems, however, sometimes it is neccissary to provide a more stable environment for the future,
for all the anti-war people, have u noticed that we have been in this war for 6 years and lost only 4,000 men. i dont like the loss but compared to ww2 it is not a bad death rate

I think the only war that could even begin to solve Americas problems would be another civil war. Which is predicted to happen sometime in 2050. (here's hoping it doesn't come to that)

No, it's a distraction from all of the domestic problems, just like the fake war in "Wag the Dog".

we've been in a lto less wars than most other countries, in the same time period of the others. Also we've been in less pointless/retarded/illegal wars than anyone else.
So no it isnt. Ask Europe or Asia, or Africa.

That's how Uncle Sam flexes his muscles. Of course, now isn't the age for flexing power, it's the age for global unity... but what do we know, we're just civilians, right?
