Buy the Windows XP disk. Get it from http://www.newegg.com

Here are the reasons why you would NOT get a computer with Windows Vista pre-loaded
1. Can't use older software that you own.
2. Might not work with your printer and other devices
3. You have to learn something new, go with what you know.

But it IS the future. It will eventually support more than 4GB of RAM and even larger hard drives. With future computers, it will be THE ONLY THING. So if you take the time to learn it now, you will be set for the FUTURE.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

I would suggest leaving Vista installed, as a friend of mine had just done this, then the laptop went wrong, he took it back to where it was purchased and the warranty was deemed void as he had replaced Vista with XP.

you need the xp installation disk. getting vista off could be tricky though as it is a more recent version of windows dan xp. i suggets you format your computer, and then reinstall or boot from the cd and install from there.

or you could just wait until sevice pack 1 for vista comes out, which will get rid off any bugs etc wid the system

You would need your own copy of XP. Boot to the CD, delete your partition, reformat, and reinstall. To put a full explanation on here would take up 3 pages!
