Aum, in the spiritual sense. absolutely. Everything is created in thought. So everyone is the centre of his/her universe. Conflicts occur when the bases of thought are in different polarities. For instance, a thought born in hate will run counter to that born in love, openness and friendliness. This is the core reason why earth has always been and will always be in perpetual conflict. If open-hearted love formed the bases of thought, it will be Heaven on Earth, as God intended. I am digressing, but spirituality is an expansive topic and touches every single aspect of one's life.

Yes, and no. Egotistically, and spiritually, yes. I am my own universe and I relate to your universe, and all the universes that are one and come together as the one...or is that universi? Anyway....I got lost there for a second...........it's a big universe. But no, because it is a concept of the mind, much like a lot of what we talk about here, so on this subject there is nothing I would say that clarified or quantified anything any better than anyone else might. Perhaps we are all in the center, or at the center, of the universe, metaphorically speaking.
Personally, the center of the universe is the supreme point of light, the supreme being, Brahma, God, the One, the light to which we all gravitate, emulate, and from which all love emanates.

No, the exact opposite is true. If the universe is infinitely large in all directions, no point can be exactly at the centre. The reason is, to divide an object into two the object must be a finite size. If it is not a finite size you can never say when you have reached the centre as you do not have a starting or ending point from which to measure. Wherever you start to measure from, or wherever you stop measuring, the universe still stretches out in front of you and behind you infinitely. Even if you travelled in a straight line at the speed of light for 40 billion years, when you stopped the universe would still stretch out in front of you infinitely.

For the universe to circle around me, I would have to be separate from it, and not unified with it.
On the other hand, I am pretty important to myself. Perhaps I do think I am the center of my own universe... it seems more like the universe is within me (or connects within me, as it also connects within other people) than that it is circling around me.

We are naturally self centered. You can see that in the way children react. They throw tamtruns, they don't share, they kick other kids because they can't understand the world outside their own feelings. As we grow, we learn by experience and with our parents/teachers help that the other also has feelings and we realize we shouldn't do to others what we don't want them to do to us. However, some of us don't exactly grow out of that and continue being self centered throughout adulthood. It is more psychological than spiritual issue, I should say.
Sometimes I think I am the center of the Universe. I think I am the best person, the best mother, the main role actress in the movie of my life... hehehehe..
See you,
Peace!

Yes it is. Brother, if you notice carefully out of all the ceations of ALLAH, there is a deliberate distribution of mental faculty to judge things morally that you see with human beings as compared to other creations of ALLAH. If you look around in nature, everything looks like a well crafted web of beauty woven for a purpose. Even the most minutest creatures have a life and role to play in this ecological balance. Every day we see the sun rising in the east and birds flying off their nest to feed their little stomachs but we hardly know how who is contributing in this cycle of ecology. The biggest proof of the fact that the entire universe revolves around mankind can be seen from this that out of all the creations, mankind is the only one ruling the planet. Whether we are doing more harm or good to our home planet is anybody's guess. Like I said in the beginning, this vital combination of basic instincts and discretion can only be witnessed with mankind giving him an edge over everybody else and also creating an area of free will which translates the power of human being to pursue his desires guided by his prudence. This just can't be without any cause.

The universe has no center, so technically every point is the center. So yes, I am, and you are, and everyone else on the planet.
