this is not true. i am pentecostal and i tip even my pizza delivery person and they charge for delivery. I have gone out and my meal with tax has come up to like $15 and I tip anywhere from $5-$7. There have been a couple of times I did not tip because my waiter was obnoxious and rude. They sucked their teeth when I asked questions so I felt like they did not deserve a tip. Everyone is different. Please do not judge everyone because of a few people. We are not all the same. I believe that if I want someone to respect me I have to give respect.

I am a Pentecostal both me and my husband tip{who is also a pentecostal.
Just because they come from church doesn't mean there a christian, I can set in my garage and that doesn't make me a car.
I beleive you should tip your waitress and they are wrong for not doing so

Girl, I FEEL YOU on this one. I hated working Sundays.

I've heard some people say that they only give God 10%, so why should they give a waitress more?

It's pathetic and cheap--even the Bible says that the worker is worth his wages (deserves to be paid fairly). They make waitresses out to be liars or liable to a tax audit, too--if you claim you make less than about 8% in tips, Uncle Sam thinks you're lying.

That seems like a pretty broad generalization. Is it just one family? Several families from the same church? I'll bet there are Pentecostals that tip and others that don't, just like everyone else.

I believe your assertion is a lie. I am an Atheist but my family are Pentecostal and they are always courteous and good tippers even to discourteous waitresses.

They beleive that you are getting a fair wage from your boss. If you would like to point out that you only are paid $3.74 an hour and depend on tips to make your minimum wage, they might just have a change of heart.
Or you could just ignore them until they tip.
