I'd do B. I wouldn't walk away from the problem(unless I just wasn't up for it..) or beat them up. I'd just ask what their problem is. :D

People don't normally say back off unless someone has rubbed them the wrong way. It doesn't matter if you think you did nothing wrong. It's how you are perceived. So "back off"!!
