Someone with a brain. A lot of men are homeowners with jobs and cars...doesn't make them marriage material. Are you kind? Honest? Generous? Faithful? Adventurous? Easy to get along with? Understanding? Responsible?
What a woman looks for varies from woman to woman but often has some very similar traits. I married my husband because he is all of the above and then some.

I'll try to abbreviate my list of "requirements". lol.
I would look for someone who is smart, has a good job, is kind, caring, sensitive, and compassionate.
I would prefer a mate who is Christian.
He should be well-rounded (liking a variety of things OTHER than just sports). I would also want to see that he is good father material if we were to ever have kids.
He should have good hygiene, good table manners, good phone manners, and is polite overall.
He should be in shape, driven, and hardworking (but not a work-aholic).
I think that's about all.

A down to earth guy, that means not only car and home but hve romantic and a great lover.
