Lol... too many overpassionate thumbs down trollers in here.
This is a classic philosophical proof that I learned in college:
Case 1: You believe in God and
God doesn't exist: You're screwed.
God exists: You're good.
Case 2: You don't believe in God and
God doesn't exist: You're screwed.
God exists: You're screwed.
(PS.. I'm agnostic)

You're absolutely right - it's a belief - there is no logic or reason you should believe anything that isn't provable. But we have a lot of science that is not yet discovered or provable, just a belief or theoretical.
So lets ask, is there theoretical proof for the existence of God? Life exists, but man can't figure out how or why? Score 1 for God. We have an innate internal sense that we know right from wrong that goes beyond instinct? why - Score 2 for God. Given that all life started from a single event, why the vast diversity? Wouldn't evolution drive everything to a single perfect life form - is that the logical end to evolution? Score 3 for God. When you find yourself in a life or death situation, for some strange reason - the existence of a God is no longer questioned. Not a lot atheists return from wars.

There are no logical reasons that people can understand. Believing in God is like believing in ghosts, yet even atheists are more apt to believe in ghosts than God. If there is no spirit, no supernatural, nothing that science can't explain, then why do people believe?
Irony: Science states that matter can only come from other matter, but the Big Bang is an exception.
Theory: Science is a religion based on the things seeming to be constant in this world.
Solution: There's something beyond what we can see

As long as it doesn't become an excuse to do people bad, a belief in the God(s) of your choice does neither you nor anyone else any harm. It can keep you from feeling alone in the Univerese and give you something to look forward to after Death. It's also a good reason to explore the Mysteries of Life and the Universe. Humans have a natural disinclination to accept an absence of meaning. If a belief in a Divine Plan satisfies your Recommended Daily Allowance for Meaning, Cool.

the answer is simple....look around you...look up in the sky. if there was ever a more perfect reason to believe in God that is it. look at the universe. the Earth is in the most perfect spot and if we were even half an inch to either side the entire earth would be in total chaos. you can't tell me that is just by accident. everything here on this earth, and in the universe is created by God. we and everything in this universe is not here by any natural accident. and no one can give you a logical reason to believe in God because it takes faith. it's like asking how do you know what you breathe is actually oxygen? how do you know that what rustles the leaves in the trees is actually the wind? you can't see it, you are just simply taking someone's word that it's the wind, or that you are breathing oxygen..because for all you know you could be breathing carbon monoxide.

Here's a simple test, you can do to make your own choice.
If you know how to:
1.Meditate
2.Do Hypnosis
3.Go into a relaxed state of mind.
A).Then simply ask a question.
B)Then Beleive it will come true.
C)Then act as if it has happened for you.
If nothing happens, maybe you did the test wrong.
It may or may not change your thoughts, then again, you may become....more happy.
God, is just something, no one can truly explain or convince you of...
Love, alone could be what God is, no one here on earth can prove or disprove his sprit exsist or does not.
Have a great day...anyway.

I will answer your question with two questions.
Give me a logical reason to believe life came from non-life.
Give me a logical reason to believe all matter came into existence from nothing.

there is nothing logical about religion, i am not a believer myself, but even if you're not, that does'nt give you a reason to look down on believers and critisize them. Religion gives hope and purpose to those who need it , and is good when used/believed in and practised in the right way.
To me, the only real bad thing about religion is the amount of wars fought and deaths caused because of it.

He exists whether you believe in him or not.
I'm guessing that would be the logical, practical bonus to being Almighty; that His existence doesn't depend on a person's beliefs.
Mankind can invent gods of their own making; they can invent theologies and doctrines that suit their own needs for justification and peace of mind. The fact remains however, that those archaic and mythological beliefs can be clearly seen as ludicrous and irrelevant and such by intelligent people.
In every religion, in every nation for as long as the world has existed, mankind has been religious; either praying to one god or many. Worship and religious ritual are a part of humanity from the beginning of it's origins, regardless of whether or not those 'beliefs' were superstitious, illogical, impractical, or even highly intelligently evolved so that it made practical sense. Mankind has been created with the desire to worship something greater then they.
I would say, that the general evidences from humanity and civilization as a whole in regards to some type of 'religious' belief system throughout the course of human history would be the most practical evidence. Mankind has always believed in a supernatural being greater than they, regardless of what they called it.
♥
*edit* I believe in God, as to me.... it's common sense; but you can believe whatever you want. ♥
ALSO: I would like to address your comment on heaven & hell and the Bible. Let me just say that the Bible does not prove God exists. It proves that mankind BELIEVES that God exists. If God's existence weighed heavily upon a book, then He would not be God at all. If there were never a Bible in existence, God would still exist. The Bible, is there for our benefit... so that we have 'written proof' let's say, of God's existence; it is not there for God's benefit. He is from everlasting to everlasting regardless of who believes in Him. What does He need the Bible for? He knows He exists. ♥

Logical answers?
Why don't you sincerely PRAY for God to show you the truth?
Why are you asking "people" who are opinionated and have their head in the sand about millions of ideas?
People are imperfect beings that do NOT have all the answers! Not even in great numbers.
Look at how many countries that have followed "one person's" ideas, only to be brought down to desolation.
Faith in God is the only way you will get "real" reasons behind everything.
If you read the Bible, you will see that countless people did not believe Jesus was Lord.
It was only the ones that did, that had ANY real revelation about God's existence and what faith was and what it could do.
Jesus WAS NOT FOR "religion"! He was against the pharisees that did everything according to religion. He rebelled against religion! Not because it wasn't "logical", but because it was NOT "realistic". It did NOTHING for them that was worth anything in the end.
Only followers of Christ
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
If you have to ask "people" instead of GOD - then you are like the blind, following the blind.
Relax, and ask God to show you the truth! Have faith that He will.
The Bible says to seek "wise" counsel.... not "yahoo" or just any "Joe, John or Jerry" off the street.
If you want answers, ask people that KNOW Jesus Christ and KNOW what the Word of God is for.
But YOU are responsible for finding the truth! Seek TRUTH no matter what!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.Jeremiah 29:11-13
You can find GOD IF YOU SEEK HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART!
