I drink lots of water and I feel better for a little while but then dehydration occurs again. At night I sometimes wake up and need to drink water. That is my only problem otherwise I have lots of energy, am very focused and healthy.
What can possibily be causing this dehydration within me?????

Excessive thirst may be an indication of diabetes.

Well, aside from polydypsia being an indicator of diabetes, your thyroxin levels may be too high causing your metabolism to be unnaturally fast.

How healthy are you? Have you had a physical exam lately? Do you perspire a lot? Do you urinate a lot? Your answers to these questions can lead the doctors to a probable diagnosis.

It's really useless to use Yahoo answers to be satisfied with this health-stuff/diseases question. The doctor still can provide the best answer to your condition.

Being very thirsty is a sign of diabetes... other than that, I'm not too sure. Sorry. You could call a health information hotline for your area. One toll free number is 1-866-408-LINK (for Calgary health link). They might be able to give you some information.

Very strange!

You might want to get checked for diabetes. Also, I seem to remember hearing about a condition that causes one to want water all the time. I don't remember the name of it, but a man I used to clean for told me his dog had it- and I'm willing to bet humans can get it too.

If you drink a lot, as well as go to the bathroom constantly, or feel tired a lot, I would definitely get checked out for diabetes.
