Remove the word pain from your vocabulary. If you are talking a lot about pain, then you are giving it power, rather than negating it. In other words you are allowing it to run your life, rather than you taking control. If you do not give it a label then as such is cannot exist! I learned because I have rheumatoid arthritis for 20+ years so have had to learn coping techniques. The only draw back, when I see a Doc the first question, are you in pain, followed by describe your pain. Like if I have to acknowledge it let alone describe it, it means I have to 'feel' it and I really do not want to feel it!

If you have the time and are in the right place lay down in a dark room and close your eyes. This helps your brain to relax and your pain to ease away. I would also suggest trying to find out what triggers your head pain so that you can work on preventing future ones. Also if you frequently take acetaminophen(tylenol) or ibprofen(motrin) they can cause you to have rebound headaches which makes the situation worse. Hope I helped.....and remember I'm not a doctor.
