Why didn't he just send noah out on a mission preaching the "good news" to everyone?

Was he unable to convert the "sinners", so he resorted to killing them and their children?

Oh Magley, Magley....what are we going to do with you?

God loves you. The rest of us are really beginning to believe that you are a painus in the anus.

Everything from Genesis 1 to Exodus 20 is understood by all Jews and many Christians to be metaphorical. I added you to my contacts some time ago because you seem to be fairly intelligent and somewhat knowlegeable about the Bible. Your questions are sometimes funny, and I like you.

But you have an amazing fixation on mocking bellievers. It is obvious to me that either (a) you were born into a family that was extremely religion-oriented and likely fundamentalist, or (b) a preacher's kid.

My question---have you ever asked a question in the hopes of gaining a greater understanding of what is really going on, or do you just like to fire off this shat and try to belittle the beliefs of others?

And, if I am correct about your deep-seated motivations for mocking believers, aren't you just a little bit old to still be fighting with your parents? Perhaps you need to move out of their basement...(just a shot in the dark...)

perhaps you should approach the Bible with an eye toward finding what is good about it, what makes sense to you, how it might be useful. Or just ignore it. but to spend so much time and energy mocking the Bible and believers betrays an incredible, immature fixation on something that should not logically interest you if you are so convinced that it is all bullshat. I don't spend my spare time trying to convince children that Santa is not real----why should you spend so much energy trying to convince believers that God does not exist? perhaps you might consider growing up a bit---get over it.
I am going to "star" your question because I want to be able to find it later in my lists---have a good day---B

I like Bright Star's answer.
Swindled-There needs to be a god to get points or not. That would be Christians, 0.
He obviously prefers killing over conversion. There are several times in the OT where he doesn't even bother to convert. He sends out his 'chosen' to get the job done for him.

The people around Noah mocked him for many years and wouldn't listen. God was fed up with sin and used His judgment on the sinners to wipe out all but Noah's family and start again.

An all powerful god who could call things into existence with a word/thought could have just as easily vaporized everyone he wanted to kill. How long, do you suppose, it took Noah and his family to bury all the dead people, animals, birds and so forth.

It comes back to taking the Bible as a whole. There is still a "method to our madness" that people can not get, so why not let God have His? You still may not understand it but is it becasue you can't or won't? That was then and this is now, so.......

God Bless

Because god suffers from bipolar. In the OT he is a vengeful angry god, but in the NT he is a happy god.
