We lost our dominion after sin. That's why humans and animals are scared of each other, why there are thorns and thistles in our farm fields, that's why there are heroin addicts, alcoholics, and people hooked on tobacco, etc... But, yes, we should still try to take care of the Earth as best as we can. But America can't do it alone.

Don't know about Muslims, but Jews and Christians hold this belief. Humankind's responsibility to care for the Earth is called stewardship and should be taken more seriously by the church than it is.

Human (noit only man) is a superior creation, each of the religion says so. But hatred of others' rerligion has made the matter worse for the world. A true and religious person is a greatest example of the truth..

Yes they do and no it does not.

Man is responsible to take care of man. While not destroying the environment we need for our survival is prudent, man is not caretaker of every odd species or swamp on earth.

Species come and go. It is part of the cycle of life. Mother Nature could not care less if the spotted owl becomes extinct. Only those species that can manage to adapt to the way things are are allowed to evolve. This is nature's rule, not man's.

Man is part of nature. Man comes from nature. Man is nature's greatest achievement to date. Whatever it takes to insure the survival and progress of man is what nature wants. Why, because the only chance life has of ever escaping this one planet is man. Right now, as far as we can tell, all of life's eggs are in this one basket.

Nature needs us to progress to where we can explore and colonize other planets. That is the only way life can be guaranteed survival. To insure life it must exist in far more than one basket.

That is what matters. Not if there are no snail-darters or dodo birds left.

In fact, a few million years ago, Earth (if it had a conscience) didn't have to worry about anything. We are the ones screwing earth up, and if god exists, we are his biggest mistake, probably.

I'm sure it's inferred if not directly stated in Genesis. But honestly, when was the last time a Badger ever listened to your commands? :-)
