If so, would such a woman go to Hell?
Are there any Biblical examples of a woman who had a child with a father that was not her husband yet the woman is still accepted as a paragon of morality? If so, how does one explain this apparent contradiction?

Chris: I'm talking about the conception itself. Supposing the woman knew prior to conception that the baby's father wouldn't be her husband, should she act in such a way to prevent the conception of the child?

Chris: She's not planning to commit fornication. She has discovered another way of conceiving a child.

This sounds remarkably like the story of the christians' favorite unwed mother, Mary. She had a vision that she would get pregnant, the impregnator was not her husband. According to all the christian rules, she sinned.
Let's face it, kids. She was a knocked-up teenager who needed a good story.

I'm an atheist, but I imagine that you are referring to the Bible quote (I have no idea where it is, but oh well) that mentions that if a man forcibley lies with a woman and is caught, then they need to get married, and the man should pay the father of the woman 50 something-or-another. Disgusting. I love how rape is fine as long as the guy pays the girl's father, but homosexuality is punishable by death. Really makes you want to have children read it to come up with a moral compass, eh?

Having the child once conception is complete is not a sin of course. But all sins are forgiven by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.
Fornication is a sin, but once she is with child, she should have the child, because abortion is murder.

But somehow a man having children with his multiple wives (or their servants) is totally permissible in the OT...
:-P Nice allusion, btw.

I know this one!!!!
Yes, it would be a sin.
She would go to hell if she did not repent.
Jesus accepted the prostitute, so I'm sure he would accept the unwed mother.
