I am not a believer, but I am certain this is not what Jesus would do.

If anything mainstream religion has thought them this, years and years of brainwashing passed down from generation to generation. In the bible it does state a woman's position as a man's property and less than him. There is still to this day a lot of disappointment and anger with woman in certain roles in society. As someone who works in a male dominant role I get this and far worse at times they look at me like an alien. When they look at me they think as a girl I am soft and unable to do things etc. At school I got bullied and called a man and lesbian for working as a shepherd and gillie doing loads and loads of so called manly things. There used to be a time in the old religion and age where woman where greatly honoured and celebrated there was a balance of man and woman but now the scales have tipped to men and the world is out of order!! This is the source I feel for all the hate and jealousy, that is why after getting sick and tired of the remarks I am learning pagan where I am not judged and treated fairly as a woman!!

Some Christians obviously do support Dollar but not all. I say let the process play out and I'll reserve my judgment until later. If he has done wrong, he'll pay the penalty. All Dollar is saying is let the IRS handle the case instead of congress sticking their noses into it.

I doubt Jesus would have this problem because he came for mankind, not money and luxuries. Man strives for what he considers wealth. Earthly riches are not Godly riches.

There are actually tons of scriptures you could use, but the simplest and most inarguable one is this in my opinion:

And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Luke 9:58

Yes, that's right. Jesus wasn't rolling in the dough --- more like HOMELESS. People might be able to explain away other people in the Bible (because the thinking goes that you are prosperous IF your faith is strong enough) but no one can argue with Jesus, right? (Or at least no Christian).

And you're right, it is garbage, and it has shipwrecked the faith of many.

The 'gospel' of prosperity preaching is not backed by scripture. It is misinterpretation and a different gospel. The apostles were to take nothing with them when they went to preach and rely on being given food and shelter, not money. I just see no scriptural support for it and plenty against it. The apostle Paul wrote in 1 Cor. 4:11-12: "To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. "

Many people are not aware of sound biblical doctrine and have been deceived into believing the prosperity gospel. They misinterperet Scripture and think that God wants you to be materially rich. It is actually the opposite. These prosperity gospel preachers are wolves in sheep clothing and deceive the flock. Many of them are not born- again Christians and are actually false prophets. I would say 95% of the televangelists are false prophets.

The Bible warns you about fakes and con artists who try to pray upon Christians:

And commanded them (Jesus speaking) that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip (begging bag), no bread, no money in their purse: Mark 6:8

If, for example, a church is genuinely serving God by feeding its members His Word, with meaning, that church will never have to beg for anything ... members, money, or anything else ... needed to serve Him.

My church, for instance, is the largest, nondenominational church in the world and they never, ever beg for money. In fact, they never "pass the plate". There is a box way in the back of the church where you can give if you wish. This is between you and God, not between you and the chruch.

The Father's blessings flow abundantly to His servants. Always remember, though, that His promises have conditions attached. If you do this, I will do that.

With the above in mind, a red flag should go up when you see a church always begging for money. That's because God never sends out beggers. Serve Him and the blessing will come. Don't serve Him and His blessing will not come. He always keeps His word.

christians don't pop out of pods or come down in space ships fully formed and fully "preached up"!

they're made of the same mix of people as the rest of society - some are strong, some weak, some gullible and some smart.

so the idiot christians can support something out of idiocy and the evil christians can support something out of evilness which a model christian would not support.

i think Jesus would denounce them publicly as he did with the traders in the temple of jerusalem.

So Christians can't have money? You wouldn't have liked Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Esther, Daniel, Mordecai, or Joseph of Armithea either! But Thankfully, God is not as biased as we humans are! He loves to bless His people! Jesus taught us Christians to give that it may be given to back to us. (Luke 6:38) To not do so is to sin! These folks have been faithful to obey. Have you?

If Jesus isn't your Lord, then it really isn't your concern.

Why should you care? Why do you have to LOOK for proof against anyone else? Let people believe in whatever they want to, and dont bring them down with some piece of crap off of the internet.

Have a nice day

I don't, most Christians don't.

Thanks.

Any Christian who donates their money to a Church that costs millions to build is misguided. That money should go to the poor. The money changers have returned to the temple.
