I promised JellyBean I would do it (about 6 months ago, LOL). I still haven't done it. I don't like having my picture online. My face could end up on somebody else's body, wearing leopard skin.

sell him and purchase a calmer horse with a greater friendly strategies-set in the direction of human beings. some horses like human beings - others only tolerate them. you like a horse that replaced into raised by ability of people who enjoyed it and worked with it from delivery. have you ever used a butt rope ro loading? I even have, yet I decide to take numerous time and use treats to cajole the pony to load. Make it a delightful journey. Why did he greenback you? Did you marvel him once you moved? I raised an Appaloosa stallion from delivery and he replaced into extremely mushy, yet he under no circumstances bonded with anybody. i don't comprehend why - our filly thinks she IS a guy or woman! I do strongly recommend you sell and get a different horse. specific, the TB blood could make him edgy. additionally, do you feed a intense protein feed? If the pony would not want a intense-octane feed, shrink the protein content fabric, or maybe shrink grain and upload hay or pasture if he's an undemanding keeper.

I'm not comfortable with directly linking my offline identity to my online identity. I'm a privacy nut though. But my general reasoning is that all the stuff you put on the internet is going to be around for the foreseeable future; who knows what use might be made of it?
Google and all the other search engines put all the Y!A stuff in their indexes too, by the way. Even deleted questions can often be found in Google's cache.

I did for a day or so, but then someone used it as an opportunity to comment on my appearance rather than the question I asked; I know I shouldn't care, but I did, and I took it down.
If I get a thicker skin, maybe I'll put one up sometime--but for now, I choose avatars that kind of look like me.

Mine is a picture of myself at Halloween. You can't really see my face because I have those giant sunglasses on. I debated back on forth for a while and decided, why not? I probably won't keep it up there for a super long time but as long as you don't give out information that people could take I don't see the problem with it.

TTC,
That is a choice that you must make. I personally would not be able to do so and if I were able to do so it would scare the children away from the computer screens. I am losing my hair and I wasn't that great looking anyway. GOD graced me with a wonderful and gorgeous wife but he left the handsom out of my life. Have a wonderful weekend and a glorious holiday with your family and friends.
Thank You,
Eds

Why not? I mean this board isn't that huge. I haven't met a single other user from where I live --- it doesn't seem like people will recognize me and start stalking me or anything (not that I'm cool enough to be stalk-able). Also, as long as you're not posting things on this board that would embarass you, would it matter to you if someone walked up to you in McDonald's and said, "Wow, you're so and so from answers!"?
If you're using the lack of community in the internet that turns many people into jerks to be a jerk, then I can see why it would bother you. I've never seen you do anything like that --- no answers or questions to be embarssed by. Go for it. :)

I prefer having an Avatar not my real pic. Just my preference.
My friends and family know what I look like.

I wouldn't but that is because of me. I see no need to. I don't know why someone would ask you to. Let me ask you this; do they (the requestor) have their "real" pic up?
If you feel the least bit uncomfortable, then do not do it. If you need to ask others whether you should, then you prob. don't feel like it is the right thing for you to do.
Best of luck with your choice.
